Guest caboose Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Cool article. Wrestling is indeed a cruel theatre of human triumph and tradegy.
Guest WhenDanSaysJump Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I have a heavily clipped copy of that match on VHS. Of course, I can't think of that match without thinking of... "HEAVEN NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDED A CHAMPIOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN"...
Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Over at the kayfabememories.com, there is often heated discussion about David Von Erich's World title prospects... So the comment "By all accounts, David Von Erich was to be the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion." is not terribly accurate... go there to see why
Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I'd rather not. Just post it.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Well, Tank, most of what I'd heard more or less had David pegged for at least a short reign around that time. So only today could I change "by all accounts" because this is the first I've heard that there might have been dissention toward it
Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted May 10, 2003 I understand JHawk, no problem.... Good work otherwise!
Guest EdwardKnoxII Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Now here's a question I have. I remember hearing something about a Kerry Von Erich/Ric Flair match were Kerry was so coked out of his mind that Flair pretty much wrestled himself during the match. I'm not trying to start anything I just remember hearing that.
