Guest HBK16 Report post Posted May 6, 2003 Ok I have been recently working at a restaurant but they screwed me over by putting me on call. Well during the 3 weeks they had me on call without a single day of work, it gave me time to go out and look for a job. Well I got a call back from In-N-Out Burger saying they want to see me for an interview. Well like 2 days after my interview they call me up informing me that they want to hire me. My location pays $9.25 an hour so its nice. So the next day I go to my old job planning on quitting. Now Im 18 and I have shit to pay for and they put me on call and dont bother to call me for 3 fucking weeks. That shit pisses me off. Especially when I call them everyone once and a while and ask them if they need me. I dont have time to really type out my whole conversation with the manager but I am pretty sure I got my point out. Im not a jerk when it comes to quitting for a job but they really did piss me off and I needed to do something to really let them know. But now I have a new job at In-N-Out and Im looking foreward to starting there.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Report post Posted May 6, 2003 That sucks! Being on call I mean! Well, good luck in the new job. In-N-Out is a pretty good fast food place to work for. I have friends that have worked there a long time. If you are there long enough they give you all sorts of benefits!

Guest DrTom Report post Posted May 6, 2003 When I went to California (Sacramento area), there was one a stone's throw from my hotel. The food was quite good, much better than the standard fare that most fast food "restaurants" peddle.
