What's the scariest movie you have seen?

I would have to say "Glitter" with Mariah Carey is right up there! LOL! Seriously though, those Friday 13th movies used to scare the crap out of me!

The Ring, I seem to be hallucinating about Samara, I could have sworn she crawled out of my TV this morning. She would have made a great addition to the Dungeon of Doom.

House of 1,000 Corpses scared me...I stayed awake that night under my covers...just wonder how the hell such a shitter of a movie could get made.

John Carpenter's remake of The Thing. Perfect horror as I call it. It's a film you need to go into knowing nothing about for absolute effect, and if you do...well, it flat-out rules.

The Ring. I watched it and is scared the shit out of me and then I had a scary dream about it the same night. I can't wait to see it on mushrooms because that will be a trip and a half.

Halloween: Ressurection. I went in thinking it wouldn't be scary, and afterwards I was checking my rear-view mirror for Michael

Cape Fear simply terrifies me, and without using any cheap shock-scare tactics or anything like that. Anyone can have music intensify as some creepy guy jumps out from behind a corner. It takes a really well-made movie to scare the shit out of you on just the concept alone.

Only thing that comes to me right now is the rape scene in The Entity. That freaked me out. Just the fact that you could be in your bed and suddenly getting violently raped by something you can't see is freaky to me. I know there are others but I'm drawing a blank.

Oh the murder scene in the first Elm Street with the chick flying across the roof. I don't think anything is scarier than putting yourself in the boyfriend's shoes and watching your girlfriend fly across the roof and walls, bleeding, screaming and dying.

Many movies can put me on my seat filled with suspense and tension, but not many have "scared" me.

The Evil Dead scared me so bad when I was 12 I couldn't even finish it.

The only movies that have given me the willies in recent years are Black Christmas and The Changeling.

After 13 or 14 years old that's the best most of us can hope for from a scary movie.

Very few people can be truly scared by a movie after certian ages.

My first thought was Poltergeist, but I was about 8 or so when I saw it.

I'd say Stephen King's It.

I can't really think of anything, so instead I'll say that a friend of mine is scared shitless by Killer Klowns from Outer Space. It's hilarious watching him squirm during a damn comedy.

My Dad made me watch The texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jaws back to back when i was like 8. That was a shitty day. TCM still somewhat unnerves me as it's just brutal and merciless. Reminds me of the real world as even when there is a sort of happy ending, it's still pretty fucked up anyways.

Jaws...bothers me a lil as well. I still always subconsciously think of something below me when I'm in the water and I blame that movie.

Ah a scarred childhood, it is delightful.

i mean flyboy's right, if he says a movie's not scary it's not...

anywho, no movie freaked me out more than the first time i watched evil dead...no music... and when i watched event horizon i could barely stay still. other than that i'ver never really been scared during a movie, i may have jumped but those were the movies that actually made me sit back and go, whoa.

ya pussy...

My 4 year old nephew watched TCM with me and his father. The boy couldn't take his eyes off the TV and when it finished he wanted to watch it again. This was after dark as well.

Yes a 4 year old.

In The Mouth of Madness. Now that was a movie with serious creep-factor. You must all watch!

After playing Resident Evil I have become jaded and no movie scares me.

One movie that hasn't been mentioned yet though is Perfect Blue. This is a very good physocoligal thriller.
