Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Alright...I'm off to go write my preview... But first...let's start a discussion about who you think/want in this match. There are 15 slots... 4 of which will be filled by the winners of these matches: AJ Styles and DLo Brown vs. Low Ki and Elix Skipper Sabu vs. Sandman vs. New Jack Chris Harris vs. James Storm The other 11 are open. Who do you want to win the three matches...and who do you want to see in the big match? Give your list of 15! It'll be FUN!!!!! ... Well...It will give me something to read while I type the preview
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I'm expecting Raven, Juvi and/or Super Crazy, Truth, Konnan, Douglas (crosses fingers), Credible, maybe Corino...hell I dunno, there are so many possibilities. Tenay said champions from all over would be competiting. Hardy could show up as the surprise entrant. And I'm hoping AJ wins the damn thing. Have him fulfill HIS destiny (as a full on face), then have Raven chase him. Would make for entertaining TV IMO.
Guest EN090 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 For the three qualifying matches I expect Sandman, Chris Harris, and Styles/D'Lo to be entered into the battle royal. As for the other 11.... 1) Sting 2) Raven 3) The Truth 4) Sonny Siaki 5) Glen Gilberti 6) Konnan 7) Malice 8) Ken Shamrock? 9) Slash 10) Brian Lee 11) Kid Kash
Guest JHawk Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Who's the European representative going to be? Jonny Storm maybe? Maybe they can bring Doug Williams in for it? Or are they going to ignore the fact that they more or less promised a European wrestler in it?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Who's the Japanese wrestler? Other than Konnan being Mexican...those other two are way up in the air.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Masato Tanaka will probably be in it. I think he is in America right now for the MLW show anyway.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Well...if he's in it than I want Awesome in it too...just for mark out value. There's nostalgia that I can get behind. Imagine Awesome is in the ring and then Tanaka comes out unannounced...then they battle all over the arena. I could dig that.
Guest Burning Hammer Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Here we go. 1. AJ Styles 2. DLo Brown 3. Sabu 4. Chris Harris 5. Masato Tanaka (wrestling in Florida on Friday for MLW) 6. Konnan 7. Glenn Gilberti 8. Raven (he has to be right?) 9. Ron Killings 10. Kid Kash 11. Sabu 12. La Parka 13. Dusty Rhodes 14. Erik Watts 15. Norman Smiley Only other japanese guy I can think that they would bring in would be Hashimoto but that seems a bit far fetched. Although with the big mlw show on friday these guys are possibilities, Norman Smiley, Ikuto Hidaka (more likely to make an x-division appearance than anything if they can get him), and Vampiro. I'm sure we will get an old name thrown in there that nobody is expecting. Edit: forgot that Sabu was involved in the three way to qualify.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Smiley is British so that would fill the English guy role. Saturn should be in it too...hell he alone fills the former ECW, WCW and WWE champion list.
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted May 7, 2003 here i go 1 sting(champ from europe for cross promotion with wwa) 2 d'lo(wasent he promised a title shot when he signed) 3 aj styles(if dlo gets in aj must) 4 sabu(it woude be stubid to job him outright after he made his grand reentrance) 5 yugi nagata(has said in the past that he woude like to defend the iwgp heavyweight title in tna even though since he said it it has lost the title) 6 mike awesome(former ecw champ probably in usa due to may 9th mlw booking) 7 james storm(had to give a spot to harris or storm) 8 raven(so jeff can cost him the match so they can give someone else a title shot while they continue the raven jeff feud) 9 konnan(pinned by colusion of several white wrestlers) 10 ron killings(pinned by colusion of several white wrestlers) 11 juvi gurrerera(champ in mexico and porto rico) 12 super crazy(former champ in purto rico and mexico) 13 doug williams(champ in england could feud with konnan) 14 jody fleisch(former champ in england could feud with juvi or supercrazy) 15 masato tanaka(schould be in usa for may 9th match in mlw)
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted May 7, 2003 12. La Parka I gave up on seeing La Parka in TNA. They just won't bring him in for some reason. I doubt he will be in it. I don't know what the problem is since he works for MLW.
Guest Burning Hammer Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I thought I heard someplace that La Parka was supposed to come in when they brough Halloween and somebody I can't remember in but he had visa issues. So I thought this would be a perfect time to bring him in.

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Here's the easy way to remember: Anyone who was a legit threat to beating Jarrett has already jobbed to him. The only people left who I would buy as challengers are Lynn (but he's in the tag and X divisions instead...) and Saturn...because I think that match would be good.
Guest Burning Hammer Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Just because those guys jobbed to him doesn't mean they can't go after him again. DLo lost because of interference from Raven, Styles lost because of inteference from a bunch of people and well Raven he just lost after everybody interfered for him. What I would like to see is a 4 way match up for the title between Styles/DLo/Raven/Jarrett at the one year anniversary show with Styles going over. But that is just me. Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted May 7, 2003 (edited) 1. Raven 2. AJ Styles 3. D-Lo Brown 4. Sabu 5. Random Entrant (non finish in AMW match. i say Johnny Smith due to the Brit factor) 6. Ron Killings 7. Konnan (he's Mexican & there) 8. Masato Tanaka (if he's in town, go for it) 9. Glen Gilberti 10. Malice (either him or Awesome & Malice is a proven title threat) 11. Eric Watts 12. Dusty Rhodes 13. Jerry Lynn (to attack Konnan/Truth) 15. Kid Kash (because i mark for him) My Pick: Kid Kash, a strong over heel for Jarrett to bury. besides, a Styles/Kash feud suits me Edited May 7, 2003 by The Decadent Slacker
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted May 7, 2003 It'll probably be some surprise entrant like a Shane Douglas or Malice or someone that ends up winning. AJ & D'Lo are busy with SEX, i doubt they'd give Raven another shot right away, and Killings is essentailly a mid-carder now, so either they'll elevate someone else or have someone new win it and get the title shot in 3 months time or whenever Jarrett feels like next defending the belt. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted May 7, 2003 dammit, you post the article shortly after i finish updating the forums. fuckity fuck. oh well... good take as always BUT i have to admit that if raven refused to sign a contract, that is as good a reason as there ever was NOT to give him the belt. this has prolly been said before but not by me
