Guest SweetNSexyDiva Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I don't mind wearing glasses, but it sucks when you are doing something and they keep falling off your face! It turns out I just needed to open a new pair of disposables... so they feel better today.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I have monthly disposable contacts which are pretty damn sweet. I can wear them for a whole month then I take a few days to wear my glasses before putting a new set back in. Regular contacts were a pain in the ass because you can't sleep in them and, every week, you need to use an enzymatic cleaner on them. I started having allergic reactions to the cleaner and the non-saline cleaning solutions a year after I got my first contacts, so I was switched over to disposables at that time. They may tear easier but they hardly ever pop out compared to the thicker "real" soft contacts. I still get the average red-eye problems every so often after I've worn them for a long time but popping out the contact, rinsing it off, and putting some water on my eye tends to clear it up. Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted May 10, 2003 I've been wearing glasses since preschool. I don't know how I'd feel to live without them. Stardust: Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm poor and uninsured, so that'll have to wait.
Guest stardust Report post Posted May 10, 2003 Stardust: Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm poor and uninsured, so that'll have to wait. No problem. Seriously, though, once you're not poor and uninsured, you really should talk to your eye dr about it.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Been wearing contacts for almost 14 years now. I laugh at the people that need 20 mirrors just to put one in...
Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I'm using some new ones right now and have been getting used to wearing them and they're just killing me right now cuz I've had them in for so long. Can't take them out yet though because my case and only bottle of saline is with my brother who isn't home. I've found that I have more of a problem getting the damn things out than getting them in, which has proved to be pretty simple most of the time.
