Ok, this started over on the WF History thread on the SWF board, but it was so off topic, so I thought to move the discussion here.

If you wanna view that thread...go here:

Talk about anything Simpsons related here!

What's your favorite episode?

Man, it's no fun being on topic. ;)

Although in addition to 22 Short Films, I DID especially like She Of Little Faith, the one where Lisa meets Richard Gere.

Nice reference G! That's the one with the chili cookoff and Homer eats that pepper from Wiggam and goes crazy. He has a spiritual vision or whatever, and starts looking for his soul mate. I would say that was a decent episode...it wasn't THAT funny to me really.

Homer - "It's time you know kids, that's a crock."

Bart - "Got it. Can't win...don't try."

Where is that from?

Da "who knows...or maybe a better question is, who cares?" H

There JD, I fixed it. I'm not sure about the first sentance though, but that sounds about right.

Two Bad Neighbors!

That's the one where Homer has a war against former president Bush, and he was telling Bart how he came up with the idea to send locusts to Bush's house. Bush met them in the sewer, and a rumble insued...with hilarious consequences.

The latter quote is from the same episode, where former president Ford asked Homer if he liked football, then nachos, and then invited him over to do those things. Then they both fell on the curb...

DOH!

Chief Wiggum PI will be back ... RIGHT NOW!

They second post is the quote from that spin off special where Wiggum was a PI with Skinner (I think it was Skinner) in New Orleans...yeah, I think it was NO...or somewhere in FLA. Also in that episode was Moe and the Grandpa Love Detector. That was hilarious.

I'm gonna mull your other two over during a cigarette, and I'll be back in 5.

Da "might be stumped by Ejiro...knows the second quote, but can't remember the show" H

PS - Don't use random quotes that didn't mean anything to the show. Make them at least quotes that mattered...I mean, not stuff like "Yeah boy". It has to be a quote that's unique to a particular show.

Personally, I love the "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blow Fish" Episode way back when.

And the One, can't remember the title, where Homer is working for Scorpio and they move out of Springfield.

Oh... and "HomR" where they pull the crayon out of his brain. Classic.

Was that first one from the episode where Lisa did the bully research and found out that bullies are attracted to Nerd Sweat? I'm thinking that quote came from when Lisa presented her research at the Big Science Thingy.

Da "that sounds about right" H

The Scorpio one is called...

"You Only Move twice"

and it's in my top 10 as well.

Da "crayon in the brain was funny as well" H

PS - and wasn't the red fish one they episode where Mr. Burns was running for govenor or something and wouldn't eat the 3-eyed fish?

Bart (singing): Sorry Mom, the mob has spoken!!

Chief Wiggum and his leg man "Skinny Boy" open a dective service in NEw Orleans (which really isn't a party town) and have to save Ralph from arch criminal Big Daddy (as seen in Parade Magazine.... its on his calling card, inside of the skull).

I'm gonna mull your other two over during a cigarette, and I'll be back in 5.

The other two are actually one quote where Bart said the first quote, everyone looked at him and he said the second one. Hopefully that will help, I'm trying not to be super obscure or anything. It's a later season episode...

No, "Blowfish" is the one where Homer eats the blowfish and thinks he is going to die. Classic Simpsons, funny and touching at the same time.

The name of the "Blinky" episode escapes me at the moment...

Marge versus the Monorail as Lyle Langley sells the town on the idea of a monorail but gets shut down via song.

Oh, NOOOO! Thugg be stumped! That one was more like...

"A little girl?"

"That's preposterous."

"Let's not listen."

My quote was from the episode when the Simpsons go to Africa and run into a Jane Goodall clone that has been forcing chimps to work in a diamond mine.

"A noble spirit embiggins the smallest man."

This one is from the episode where Lisa finds out that Jebediah Springfield was a fraud. Before he founded Springfield, he was a pirate and a looter, noted for his silver tougue. Yeah...that sounds right. Even if I'm wrong, the exact quote was...

"The noblist spirit embiggins the even the smallest man".

Also in that episode, it is revealed that no one knows what embiggins means, or other words that Principal Skinner said that Springfield made up.

The only thing I liked about the Africa episode was:

"She's got diamonds everywhere."

Marge: "Even on the soles of her shoes."

Lenny: "That was too clever...You're one of them!"

Yeah, it wasn't a great episode except that everything Homer said about the animals was actually true.

"Hurry, into the raft! Hippos hate water!"

"No they don't!"

Hippo puts a toe in the water, "Yip Yip Yip"

I have no idea where Frost's quote came from... but...

"The really ironic thing is that everything turned out just like Dad said it would."

"... yeahhhh."

"I know kids, I'm scared too!"

Guest HVilleThugg

"Don't Mess Yourself!"

"Eww."

"Yeah, that's why we shortened it to DMY"

Lisa Kudrow guest stars as the new kid in school that keeps trying to make all the kids "grow up" by piercing their ears and using credit cards and having a dance. The dance is a colossal failure until Homer and Willy come crashing through the air ducts with a BUTT load of grease that the children play in.
