Maybe the author or whoever owns the rights to Charlotte's Web threatened to sue. If they pick flight what kind of mascot do they get? If they pick Dragons they can have the mascot be the logo. Bobcats gave me too much of a minor-league baseball feel. Why not Bearcats or Wildcats? or Georgecats? Dragons is an marketable name but it is still bland... If they go with Dragons that can allow them to return with the Green/Blue scheme. Why Not Charlotte Demons (Jordan might not fly with that though) Charlotte Rebels (Carolina would like that Why not call it something CAROLINA Dragons? Hornets sounded stupid when it was first said, a few years later I couldn't imagine it not being the Charlotte Hornets. Raptors is the stupidest name in sports history but after a few years, it's the Toronto Raptors and I don't think anything about it anymore. The Tennessee Titans' mascot is, for some reason, a raccoon. So I don't think the name really has to match the mascot.
