Guest alfdogg Posted March 24, 2002 Report Posted March 24, 2002 I liked any of his Gorilla age jokes (RIP Gorilla), and also the SummerSlam '89 argument with Tony.
Guest KOR420 Posted March 24, 2002 Report Posted March 24, 2002 "Hogan wants to go to hollywood? well he can drive my limo!"
Guest Tony149 Posted March 24, 2002 Report Posted March 24, 2002 I liked what Jesse said at Superbrawl II (2). He told Jim Ross he should wear a cowboy hat and call himself JR. JR ended up doing that 7 yeas later. I wonder if Jesse got royalties for that. LOL
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Posted March 24, 2002 Report Posted March 24, 2002 I've always liked his Tito Santana jokes, even though they were just about all non pc. Wrestlemania VI for example... (Match is Tito Santana vs. The Barbarian) Jesse: You know if chico was smart he would have sent The Barbarian some of that food of his. He could have counted on a count-out then. Gorilla: (Cracking up) Stop. Jesse: Two minutes into the match... Gorilla: Stop Jesse: Barbarian would have to head out Gorilla! Gorilla: Alright, that enough. I also agree that his Gorilla age jokes were great too. From Survivor Series '87 Jesse: The Fabulous Moolah...I heard that you and her were sweethearts back in '36.. Gorilla: No Jesse, I wasn't even born in 1936... Jesse: Oh..
Guest alfdogg Posted March 24, 2002 Report Posted March 24, 2002 I remember one he said "I remember when you wrestled Londos in his prime!"
Guest Some Guy Posted March 25, 2002 Report Posted March 25, 2002 I was always partial to, "SHUT UP! McMahon." You just know he loved telling his boss to shut up.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted March 25, 2002 Report Posted March 25, 2002 For Jesse/Gorilla fans, The Super Posedown between Warrior/Rude from Royal Rumble 1989 is classic! Gorilla: There he is, hand-down winner . . . Ventura: SHUT UP Monsoon, nobody's won nothin' yet! Plus, Okerlund and Heenan has some funny stuff goin' Heenan: We're gonna need about 15 minutes for this next pose. Okerlund: 15 MINUTES?!?
Guest JHawk Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 A great exchange right before the Butch Reed-Koko B. Ware match at WrestleMania III: Jesse: Of course, you know, the B. stands for Buckwheat. Gorilla: It does not. Jesse: Oh yes it does. Gorilla: Stop. Jesse: I understand that he has a brother, too. Named Stimey. Gorilla: Will you stop? Jesse: Wears a derby.
Guest teke184 Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 "Win if you can, lose if you must, but ALWAYS cheat."
Guest Frankie Williams Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 I believe this was during the Dusty Rhodes-Honky Tonk Man match at Summerslam, to Tony Shiovonie. "You know Dusty once had the honer of winning an award for most abs. Not best abs.....most abs."
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 I used to love when he would say a wrestler was trying to turn a match into a street fight when they would try to punch someone that he liked. The argument with Schiavone was great as well. Ventura: He's hitting him with a chair! He should be disqualified! Schiavone: But it's outside of the ring. Ventura: So you mean to tell me that he can take a gun and shoot him as long as he does it outside of the ring?! I thought Gorilla was dumb, but you're even dumber than Gorilla! I used to like his Lust Hogan comments and all of the stuff he used to say about Hogan. Ventura during the Rude-Warrior posedown...."What about his face? The face is part of the body too." Ventura on long counts..... "Why is this referee winding up like he has to throw a baseball 200 yards!?" I like how he used to insuate that Hogan had paid off referees. The thing that was great about Ventura was the fact that he acted like he gave a shit about the outcome of the match.
Guest Drury37 Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 "I would like to say hi to my friends in Minnesota Terry,Tyrell,Jade and Jerimiah."He said that at WWF WrestleMania III-VI.It was like a weird tradition that nobody remembers. Thanks.
Guest Jericholic82 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 I remember at a WM (I think 4), Gorilla says that he was around when Jesse was around (in ring career i mean), Jesse throws a fit and says no way (more age jokes). And also he said about each of them being retired "Me just years, you many years, you decades" WM 6 when Beefcake beats up Genius "Hey why is he doing that? Gorilla: He's only doing what the people wnat him to do...and what I want him to do Jesse:Since when do you and the people dictate the World Wrestling Federation" the classic arguement about sapphire and dustys weight "a combined weight of 400 somethin pounds you got to be kidding me, now 5oo Id buy, are you saying rhodes only wieghs 250 lbs, cuz I know damn well sapphire weighs 240 or more"
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 Wrestlemania 4 just after Gorilla introduces him, "I'm glad I'm here with and not Mcmahon." That may not be the exact quote but it is something like that and always makes me laugh.
Guest Drury37 Posted March 29, 2002 Report Posted March 29, 2002 Jesse Ventura was so funny at WWF WrestleMania VI,his Sapphire jokes were so funny,it actually made the match watable. Thanks.
