Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Provided from WWE.com: You don't want to miss SmackDown! tonight, coming to you from beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and airing at 8/7 CT on UPN! Will Mr. America be on SmackDown! again this week? No way, says Vince McMahon! The chairman has announced that Hogan will be appear on SmackDown! tonight via satellite from his home in Tampa. And since Mr. America and Hogan are the same, according to Mr. McMahon, there's no way that Mr. America will be at SmackDown! in person. Will Mr. America prove the chairman wrong? Brock Lesnar called out the Big Show last week, but the 500-pounder refused to fight the WWE Champion one on one. Tonight, Lesnar teams up with Chris Benoit to face the Big Show and A-Train. In more tag team action, Team Angle will battle Rikishi and Tajiri. In singles competition, Dawn Marie faces Torrie Wilson, Eddie Guerrero battles Matt Hardy, Brian Kendrick steps in the ring against Jamie Noble, and Rhyno takes on John Cena. It's all on SmackDown! tonight at 8/7 CT on UPN! NOTE: SmackDown! will not be seen at its normal time tonight in Dallas and Chico. In Dallas, SmackDown! will air tonight at 11:30 p.m. on KTXA. In Chico, catch SmackDown! on Saturday (May 10) beginning at 8 p.m. on KRVU. ______________________________________________ Well, there it is. And only just 30mins before showtime (at least where I live). Can't believe I'm the one posting this though, usually is long up before now. Oh well. Whatever. Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 8, 2003 (edited) Oh yah shit I forgot... Bah. I promised that I'd say whether or not the first match was worth it or not. Eddie Guerrero vs Matt Hardy Worth watching: Yes Star Rating: **1/4 Notes: Good match. Somewhat plain. Spanky (that's his nickname) vs Jamie Noble w/Nidia Worth watching: Definite. Star Rating: *** Notes: Spanky oversells like the Rock. I'm saying this is the MOTN. Both of these matches happened in the first hour. Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 8, 2003 awesome, thanks a ton Flik Actually, I was kinda shocked. The first hour was actually better than I thought, and the second isn't that bad so far. Sorry about the star rating. It's probably not THAT good, but I needed to rate them in some fashion. Oh, and BTW, the Mr. America thingy is still kinda amusing. Explanation as to why will be in spoiler: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): As I think Steph planned this all along. When Vince was thinking it wasn't Mr. America at the top of the hour, and leening closer to the TV screen to get a better look at the "imposter" in the ring; Steph had a grin a wile mide, which instantly vanished when Vince looked incrediously at Steph because Mr. America was there. Guest RepoMan Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Steph is looking alot better.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Are they doing away with the ramps? The current arena they are in, can't really support a rampway, so they had to do away with it. Although, I wouldn't mind the change, as I have never cared for rampways.
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Did she have to remove the ramp to keep up with Bish?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I must admit this Mr. America stuff is somewhat entertaining especially seeing Vince lose it. BTW we'll NEVER forget that Vince screwed Bret. And what time is the Nucks/Wild game?
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Did she have to remove the ramp to keep up with Bish? I think it's the same arena as Raw was in. It's not really tall enough for the rampways (as the stage is usually is up higher than it was).
