Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Well, after a few days off thought, I've decided to go to the WWE show in Wilkes-Barre tonight. It's a raw brand show, so it'll probably suck hard, but I haven't gone in three years. Besides, finals week is over today. Here's the card WWE has promised..... World Heavyweight Title Triple H vs. Kevin Nash I really should bring a book to read or something. Booker T vs. Rodney Mack w/ Theodore Long Scott Steiner & Test w/ Stacy Keibler vs. La Resistance Kane vs. Christian Triple Threat Women's Championship Jazz vs. Trish Stratus vs. Victoria w/ Steven Richards Hurricane & Maven vs. Chief Morley & Lance Storm Table Match Dudley Boyz (Bubba, D-Von & Spike) vs. Three-Minute Warning & Rico Tommy Dreamer vs. Christopher Nowinski Card is subject to change. God I hope so. Well, last time our main event was Kane vs. The Big Bossman, so it can't be THAT bad. Can it?

Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted May 9, 2003 also durring one of the quiet periods in the hhh nash mach shout "kick him in the quad" You should have plenty of opportunities to choose from for that. The sound of silence is deafening.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Have fun, if you can do so. I've never not had fun at ANY Pro. Wrestling show, regardless of how bad the card was, have it be at WWF, WCW, or a variety of indy shows.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Is that card a sign of things to come at the June Raw only PPV?

I'm looking forward to Hurricane's tag match, and all the matches will run a little longer then they usually do on Raw. The table match could be mindless fun. I didn't even read that there is a Table Match, that should really be cool live. Like I said, going to a show live is a whole lot different than watching it on TV, especially if you check your brain at the door and put on your markdom shoes, lol. At a live show, it's much easier to mark out at stuff you would otherwise think is crap, but I'm sure you know that.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted May 9, 2003 God I hope so. Well, last time our main event was Kane vs. The Big Bossman, so it can't be THAT bad. Can it? hey.......bossman is the greatest SUCKY wrestler of all time *see 100 reasons why Bossman is better than Goldberg thread*
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Well, the card has three matches I would like to see in Nowinski/Dreamer, Booker/Mack, and the Hurricane tag match, though I thought Morley was "fired." Anyway, which match do you guys think will suck worse: Nash/HHH or Test/Steiner vs. La Resistance?
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I know. Bossman carried Kane to a 1/2*match. And he did his SWANK~! "get punched and flip over the ropes spot, better than Goldberg ever could.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 9, 2003 As for the above question, HHH/Nash easy. At least Test can move a little.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Dude, bring a book! That would be hilarious. Bring a really big boring one too as if to say "this match is going to be really fucking long, and this big boring book is better"
Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I've noticed there's no RVD match. Usually they pimp him in to the last matche before intermission or the 2nd last match so they can make the main event look more boring
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 9, 2003 You sound like you are wasting your money dude. Although I suspect once the action starts you'll be marking out like a little kid and not worrying about what others think.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 9, 2003 HHH/Nash will be horrible. I don't even know if Nash is physically able to take a Pedigree, I've never seen him take the move(unless he ate one at Backlash, I missed that show).
Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted May 9, 2003 No RVD? No Jericho? no thank u
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I know the crowd digs them and all, but what's the point of doing table matches at house shows? When you've got guys going down w/ neck injuries, I would think table matches in front of 3000 people wouldn't be the best idea.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 9, 2003 I've noticed there's no RVD match. Usually they pimp him in to the last matche before intermission or the 2nd last match so they can make the main event look more boring When I went to the Oshawa show last Friday he was on after the Intermission, although he was announced as so before they went to break. I guess they wanted people to hurry back from the snack bars.

When you've got guys going down w/ neck injuries, I would think table matches in front of 3000 people wouldn't be the best idea. Very true. Mick Foley said pretty much the same thing in Have A Nice Day! when talking about his early days. Robert Fuller told him not to waste a dangerous spot to entertain a few fans at a house show, but to save it for when he could make some real money with it. Guest kane3212321 Report post Posted May 10, 2003 RRR at the WWA pay per view one of my friends brought a Greek mythology book he had to read for his university course. Lucky we didn't pay for tickets....

I don't even know if Nash is physically able to take a Pedigree, I've never seen him take the move(unless he ate one at Backlash, I missed that show). Nope, took a sledgehammer softened by HHH's hand--did he bang it on the steel steps to make sure we knew it was "real?"
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 10, 2003 You've got to be shittin me!! Greek Mythology?? Oh that's rich. Did he compare what happened in ring to in myth or mark out when reading the book?
Guest kane3212321 Report post Posted May 10, 2003 Nah none of that sorta stuff. Just read it during bad matches (aka Nathan Jones vs. Scott Steiner). The whole pay per view was funny in the fact it was like the Dancin Homer episode with the hearing every sarcastic comment from the crowd clearly beacuse they were so dead.
