Guest Report post Posted March 24, 2002 For some reason something I want to do more than anything in the world right now is breakdance. Everything, the flips the handstands, the spins etcetra. So I just wanted to know if any of you guys knew how I could go about learning? Are there any good videos out there? Schools or books or web sites? I was thinking gymnastical training would help alot to but that's all I can figure out. This next part ties into breakdancing a little. Now does anyone know any good flexibility excersizes to do? I want to start learning splits and that thing wear you touch your toes to your head while your laying on your stomach and everything really. Does anyone know alot techniques and some web sites that cover this indepth? Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction on both of these things guys. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted March 24, 2002 Heh.. I never really wanted to breakdance, but during the summer as I watched over old ECW tapes, and saw RVD doing the splits... I thought... "I gotta learn to do that." So, I went to his site and saw the "Van Dam Lift" and started to practice it. I started with the bed, and doing the splits then and worked my way up to two chairs. I haven't add weights yet, but I think doing the splits can help you in your goal of breakdancing. Just try to do the splits as low as you can, and each time try to get lower--until finally you might be able to do the full splits (it's... HARD and hurts like hell, but after awhile it really doesn't hurt that much). Don't know if that'll help you or not but... there's a tip, anyways.
