Guest Jimmy Beard Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Its just a thought but being new to this game i thought it would be a good idea to bring up some premierly ideas that may work as a small segment on held down for the new guys and also if waranted some guys that need that extra boost, my first idea was having a belt for the young prodigys, for example you can only win it if you are a first seasoner? What do you think

I feel it's detrimental to them in the long run. thats a fair comment about the belts i can see your point, how about a mini battle royal between the new guys every so often to see which one gets a bigger push i think that would make sense.

Since TE is a stable, they'd bitch whine and moan that one of their own is in, thusly, one of us is in the tourney garenteed... I don't know how the rest of you will do it, but I guess you guys will work it out somehow.

Guest SP-1 Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 The easiest idea is, of course, have all the participants write their matches and decide which matches work best. BUT, as I've stated before I hate that system and would rather have nothing to do with it. I'd much rather use the Tournament to help advance some storylines and help get some people "over". I don't think any of the Mods should participate, though. Give some of the newer folks a chance to shine in a tourney setting. I'm open to suggestions for choosing winners. The idea I like most is just throwing everyone's names in a hat and drawing the winners.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 we're trying to do something like what youre suggesting on iZ firstly we made the NA title important to the show, in that its the last match every week...and its defended every week, gives people a chance to "shine" secondly we had the NA battle royale to give everyone a chance to be on the show and put into iZ's only title so i think its kinda the spirit of your idea jimmy

Totally Endorsed, Crystal and K Money are just a few of the names who benefitted greatly from the split. A tourney idea in theory is not bad however for a gimmick show or PPV, allowing everyone to have something to do, rather than scramble for an angle.

Guest Jimmy Beard Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 obviously i haven't been here long but i realise that there has been a few problems hanging around the area from what i have read, but a tournament is a g ood idea, my idea would be if you have a set of 16 wrestlers pulled out of a hat by a trusted source, the eight that lose could be put into a wooden spoon tournament where they would fight for an alternate belt and the other eight fight towards the big one therefore you have two issues and more feuds.

It was the show that saw the aWo recieve a No.1 contendership to the OAOAST Championship, when I was the Champion. I thought I posted it in the archives, but it's missing. I'll repost the show when I go home next week. FYI: The Battlebowl triggered the much discussed aWo reunion storyline.

The first two rounds are tag tournament style. At the end of the first round the second round matchups are randomly selected from the remaining teams. Those who are left at the end of the second round then go into a battle royal where pinfalls and over the top rope count and there are no longer teams. Everyone is for themselves. The winner get's some sort of reward.

The winner get's some sort of reward. good idea but wouldn't that just cause more writing for us poor people, maybe a watered down version and leave the rest for good promo writing so that we can understand why the event is actually happening.
