Guest Doyo Report post Posted May 11, 2003 I used to watch the original Headbangers Ball all the time. The strength of the show, from a ratings standpoint anyway, was the variety. You would get your Slayer, Anthrax, Sepultura and the like. Then you would also get a bunch of Winger, Poison, Bon Jovi, etc. So I wouldn't be so shocked to see bands like Godsmack. The show used to be a success because you would get the people tuning in to see the new Bon Jovi video and also the people just hoping to see something like Napalm Death. The problem with this kind of a show is that most METAL bands have barely 1-2 videos to their name, so if you see a Metal band's video, it is going to be the same thing over and over and over. Guest Lethargic Report post Posted May 12, 2003 The only problem I had with it is that there wasn't enough of it. They never played more than two videos per segment. That's pitiful.
