Kurt Angle Mark Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Booker T was hospitalized today at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Philadelphia due to flu like symptons, including dehydration. Booker Huffman, 38, wrestled on Friday night in Wilkes-Barre, PA but was too ill to wrestle last night. He was in good spirits considering he was sick. At this point in time, it is believed he'll be flying home to Houston tomorrow and be unable to appear at Raw, which takes place at the First Union Center in Philadelphia. --thanks to Tom Robinson From wrestlingobserver.com
Guest razazteca Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Give him Sprite, Dayquil, Chicken Soup STAT
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Raw just got worse... And damn poor Book he just can't catch a break.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Damnit- That's too bad he got sick. Good to know that he's in good spirits and hopefully he will get better shortly. A RAW without Regal, Booker and possibly Goldust?? Oh God
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 I hope it's not that serious. I'm guessing he'll be back less than a week after the ppv.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Give him Sprite, Dayquil, Chicken Soup STAT hahaha the SARS episode of South Park... gotta love it
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 No Booker, Jericho jobbing to Nash, more HHH and pointless non-wrestling segments. RAW is gonna suck hard...but 'it could be worse'. Heh.
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 11, 2003 Report Posted May 11, 2003 Well I am glad I decided not to waste 50 bucks on a ticket for tomorrow.
Guest creativename Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 What's with Booker and dehyrdation? He got dehyrated after the India thing too (which is obviously very understandable).
Guest razazteca Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Dehyrdation? Stop taking Stacker 2. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . SUCKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Guest evilhomer Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 The one good thing is that this is coming when he's in a downturn with nothing special going on. He's doesn't have a worthwhile story going on that will be hurt by his absence. Being the optimist, maybe he could get a returning star push if he's out for a signifigant time. Just make it no more than 2 weeks otherwise there might not be a show to return to The one thing that scares me is that this is how Regal's illness was first reported. Here's hoping that it's just a regular 48 hour flu. Get well soon...... SUCKAAAAAAA!!!
Guest Nevermortal Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Obviously, Booker does not know how to work.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Noooooo....Booker is actually the number one reason I watch Raw!
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Good thing he doesn't have any direction heading into this week's PPV. The creative team probably saw this coming which is why he's been wrestling the likes of Lance Storm since getting a no decision on his last rematch with HHH. It would make too much sense to still consider him the #1 contender since he technically never lost on his rematch. Go figure...
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I heard HHH sent Booker a basket of fried chicken and watermelon along with a "Get Well Soon.....so you can get back to dancing for me" card. Booker should be glad he's sick. It'll probably prevent him from jobbing to Three Minute Warning on PPV.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Ok, somebodys gotta tell me, whats with the Black people-Fried chicken/ watermelon jokes Is it some American thing?
