Guest MRFTW Report post Posted February 7, 2002 What's the video quality like on this show since the only version available is a hand held?
Guest stretch plum Report post Posted February 7, 2002 It's not your average handheld since it's entirely shot on the in-house feed of the Tokyo Dome wide screen instead of the actual happenings in the ring (which was too far from the person recording to shoot I'm assuming. Otherwise it would be a pretty bonehead thing to do). If you've noticed the contrast of a monitor or wide screen in a stadium showing up on your normal television screen you know what to expect. It's not exactly easy on the eyes, but it's watchable. The actual handheld footage is quite clear with very little shaking, although the angle is slightly crooked. Bottom line, if you're absolutely dying to see footage of this show it's worth a look. If you don't mind watching handhelds you've seen worse. And for such a once in a lifetime show that was never televised or commercialized on tape it carries it's own novelty of having footage of, rough as it is. It's just too bad to think the actual in-house feed is probably still around in some video archive collecting dust somewhere but will never see the light of day.
