Chazz 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 What did you all think about tonight's show? I really can't give an opinion because I was doing other things while It was on. But I'm curious to know what you guys thought of It. Anybody?
Guest dpac Report post Posted May 13, 2003 check out the raw thread, personally i may just be beat from finals, but i was not impressed
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I lost interest and started looking at e3 coverage instead. I did see some random segments though. Ric Flair vs Hurricane was the best thing from what I saw. Not much else worth mentioning.

Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 The entire show kicked ass! First we have a great segment at the beginning with Austin. Who was hilarious all night. "Don't call me player." LMAO! The white boy challenge sucked as usual. If Teddy Long wasn't talking funny ass shit the entire time I wouldn't even watch it. Mack sucks. Then we get LOD who put on a pretty good match. I can't say I agree with the usage, but at least they looked better then everyone said they would look in the ring. Next, Freddie Blassie comes out, Austin makes another great move and The Dudley's kick the shit out of 3MW. Freddie saying "Devon, get the table!", was priceless. Then there was Flair. Flair squashed Hurricane like a bug! The best part, it was classic Flair, eye gouges included. It was one of the highest points in the show. The cage match was a classic cage match that you'd see at any PPV but it was shorter. Both worked the match good and I think was a great halfway main event. The Test/Steiner match sucked. The mixed tag match was alright. Nash beating the hell out of HHH and holding the title in his hands at the end was the perfect way to end the show. 8.9/10 Best RAW in years! Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Austin was entertaining... and Hurricane/Flair was great, but the rest was horrible And speaking of Hurricane/Flair... is it just me, or was this match miles ahead of Hurricane/Rock and Hurricane/HHH? Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted May 13, 2003 best RAW in years?!? You've GOT to be kidding me... And another thing I liked... Blassie's stuff was classic. I worship the Classy one

I worship the Classy one To be honest with you I can't remember a RAW that was as good as tonight's. But I figure it's been at least a year and a half ago, at best. Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted May 13, 2003 To each his own I guess... but for starters, there was a time less than a year ago when RAW was miles ahead of Smackdown. I was watching some stuff I have on tape, during the Austin/Guerrero/Benoit/Flair feud and I'm surprised at how good the product was compared to what we're seeing now. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I watched the first hour and I thought it was decent. I marked hard for Teddy Long and Rodney Mack! And they showed the White Boy Challenge in Canada! That's all I needed.
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Hurricane and Flair was pure gold. Things like that inspire me to continue watching wrestling. Bischoff: "Come on with me.." Blassie: "Why, you gonna hang yourself?" *sniff* Reminds me of my grandpa.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Ok, not to be "negative", but how does Hurricane being buried "inspire" you... I mean, if you don't like Helms and are a huge Flair mark and like seeing counter-productivity and like to see HHH milk the roster for heat, then cool, be inspired... Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 It was alright, defiently not best Raw in years though.

I can't say I agree with the usage, but at least they looked better then everyone said they would look in the ring. You're kidding right? LOD were damn slow and I don't mean Big Show slow, I mean decrepid old man slow. It was sad to see how they let themselves go. Their moves were pretty weak looking too. I mean, if you don't like Helms and are a huge Flair mark and like seeing counter-productivity and like to see HHH milk the roster for heat, then cool, be inspired... Because it was a damn good match, and made both of them look really strong. I as well thought it was better than Helms/HHH or Helms/Rocky, and it was Flair's best match in a long time. Perhaps if you watched it, you would be able to say one way or another. You need to re-learn a few of your Pro. Wrestling terms... ...being "buried" does not happen after loosing a single match, to whom many will say is the greatest human being to ever step foot into a ring. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 The women's match was perfectly acceptable. Aside from the blown kick spot and the awkward frankensteiner, it was eminently watchable and well-worked, in addition to not degenerating too badly into a handicap match. Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 13, 2003 They bumped 10X more than I thought they would though. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can say ANYTHING bad about the RVD/Kane vs LOD match. They went out, the crowd cheered for them and marked out for seeing them once again, they actually took the offense from Kane/RVD, and in the end RVD/Kane looked VERY strong by pinning them totally fairly in the middle of the ring, 1-2-3. If you pick apart this match, you are just LOOKING for something to complain about. The purpose of it taking place wasn't to push LOD, but instead, to make Kane/RVD look that much MORE of a great tag team in the fans eyes, and it served it's purpose very much so. Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 13, 2003 1. Its nice to know that Goldust is still employed 2. Hurricane vs Flair was very entertaining 3. Victoria seems to be working on her character with the backstage skits, the laugh is not evil enough yet 4. Austin is good as the GM but drinks too much beer 5. Cage match was too slow, Goldberg should never be in a gimmick match ever again, it does nothing for him. 6. LOD looked slow 7. RVD & Kane to break up? 8. Who was the driver........Who cares. 9. Christian got alot of mic time 10. Victoria vs Trish = ratings

Aside from the blown kick spot and the awkward frankensteiner, it was eminently watchable and well-worked, in addition to not degenerating too badly into a handicap match. I usually love the women's matches on RAW, but this one just seemed weird to me. There were more than one blown spot which was so painfully obvious because they then had to set up for the same spot again, and Trish seemd to be very "jerky" or however you want to put it, tonight. It was ok, but nothing great. It just looked to me that both were off of their game tonight, more so than usual. Like I said, I usually love their matches. Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 13, 2003 8. Who was the driver........Who cares. I agree about Goldberg in gimmick matches. Even I dislike him in matches like that, I always have. God forbid they allow him in a ladder match again. As for the driver deal... ...untill your post, I had totally forgot about that.

Yeah, sure he didn't... oh no... I mean, he was on the main event of Raw tonight!... YEP! I don't see how losing to an old man in his underwear and then getting beaten up after the match makes you "look good", maybe you can explain it further. ...being "buried" does not happen after loosing a single match, to whom many will say is the greatest human being to ever step foot into a ring. ... Who lost to Rico... And then having HHH come down and pedigree him.

I don't see how anyone can say ANYTHING good about the match. They went out, stunk up the joint for three minutes and we got to watch the LOD move in sloooooooooooooooooooooooow motion. Kane and RVD looked so strong that Hawk got up right after match. If you like the match you're just a deluded mark trying to find something to like about the product. Considering that no one has given a fuck about the LOD since 1992- I don't see how RVD and Kane are some huge tag team now because they went over them

Hurricane looked really strong tapping out to a 50 year old man who never wins a match? Hurricane looked really strong getting his ass kicked right after the match? I thought the womens' match was fantastic tonight. Both girls beat the hell out of each other, it has a great finish and Trish FINALLY beat Victoria. Best WWF/E womens match I've seen. I think I'm the only one who loved it though.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Hurricane got the "rub" not everybody can go Toe 2 Toe with the 16 Time World Champion WOOOOOOOOOO~ The match was so entertaining that this is one of those rare matches where it does not matter who won. It was a comedy that went beyond my expectations, with all of the mock flair-isms I was starting to think Hurricane was Lil Naitch Version 3. If Hurricane does get buried, then I bet it is because he ripped Flair's pants

I don't have to pick it apart. It was pointless and the seeing the LOD being such a shell of their former selves is depressing. They moved so slow I was screaming at my TV for them to get a move on!
