TORONTO, May 13 /CNW/ - World Wrestling Entertainment's RAW, already the highest rated regularly scheduled program on specialty television in Canada, achieved its highest rating of the current broadcast season this past Monday night on TSN. According to Nielsen Media Research figures, WWE RAW averaged a combined audience of 1.025 million viewers - up 30% from the season to date average. "The NHL play-off game last night provided us with a strong lead-in, and the fact that we retained that audience is a positive sign that WWE's brand extension continues to gain momentum," said Carl DeMarco, President, World Wrestling Entertainment Canada, Inc. "We continue to build our audience across all key demographics including men and women between the ages of 18-34 and 18-49 -- two audience segments that also achieved high ratings this past Monday." Compared to the season to date average, this past Monday's broadcast of WWE RAW on TSN generated a 14% increase in Adults 18-49 and 33% in Males 18-24. However, it is the increase in young viewers that demonstrated the highest percentage increase from the season to date average. Teens 12-17 grew by 50% and A18-24 increased by 37%. Respectively, the overall viewership (V2+), of this past Monday night's broadcast of WWE RAW was the highest combined audience performance of the 2003 broadcast season.
