Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I just bought Eternal Darkness from blockbuster the other day. This game kicks all kinds of ass. But here is the question. Is it absolutly necessary for me to go and look for a guide or walkthrough. I know that there are a lot of games nowadays that you basically stand no chance beating without them...yet I never use walkthroughs as I would rather beat it myself. This worked fine for games like Resident evil zero, but I have been told that this game is alot longer, more complex and deeper than those games. Can I avoid the guides and still beat the game or should I go ahead and be prepared for when I reach some unbeatable part of the game. on a side note, Blockbuster fucking rules. So far I have gotten... Eternal Darkness-9.99 Madden 2003- 6.99 Resident Evil Zero- 14.99 NBA 2k3-9.00 Wrestlemania X18(or whatever)- 6.99 I love them and their cheapass preplayed games. I will Never shop at a real game store again.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 14, 2003 No, you don't need one. From what I remember, there's really only one big thing that you can miss that you'd need a guide for.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Even if you are stuck for some reason, just go to www.gamefaqs.com Guides are only useful for when a game just comes out, or if you really want a bunch of full colour maps and whatnot.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I found it handy because I am stupid and combining spells was difficult for me.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 15, 2003 The game is pretty much straight forward and linear, although there are a couple of spots where I had wished I had one, but its nothing thats impossible to figure out.
