Guest cynicalprofit Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 What were Vinces and Flairs draft choices....cant seem to find it on google.com
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I just read a list of all the draft picks a few days ago. I think it was in this folder.
Guest tank_abbott Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I have a few ??? that don't merit a new thread, so I hijack this one... 1> What is Austin's new catchphrase? (Haven't watched Raw in 9 months) 2> When did Stan Hansen retire, and who did he face?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 1) Something along the lines of: "I'm trying very hard, not to lose my patience". It's not the line that's special in any way, just that the crowd now chants "Lose it" after he says it. Whatever. 2) Dunno.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Stan Hansen retired in 1999. He didn't have an official retirement match IIRC, but his final match I think was a six-man tag.

David Blazenwing Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I have a few ??? that don't merit a new thread, so I hijack this one... Me too, but I only have one. Can someone please explain "kayfabe" to me?
Guest Ace309 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Kayfabe is the idea of pretending everything that happens is real. In a kayfabed world, Steve Austin and Bisch are really competing as 50-50 GMs, for example.
David Blazenwing Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 oh i c so in a kayfabe world, Hurricane actually HAS superpowers?
Guest EternallyLazy Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Kayfabe is carny for not exposing the business... back in the "good old days" kayfabe was very very important. The illusion of wrestling being real had to be kept at all times. Some promoters went so far as to make sure that heels and faces weren't seen together in any way outside of the arena... insisting that they change in seperate locker rooms, stay in seperate hotels etc Sometimes, looking back it seems a little ridiculous, but honestly I prefer the days of kayfabe then the days of Tough Enough
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 oh i c so in a kayfabe world, Hurricane actually HAS superpowers? Yes. Yes, he does.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 oh i c so in a kayfabe world, Hurricane actually HAS superpowers? No, he only thinks or pretends to be a superhero. When they acknowledge that he has superpowers or that he fights crime, it's with "tongue firmly planted in cheek," as is commonly stated by faggots. You should've been able to figure that out yourself.
Guest tank_abbott Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 So anyone know hansen's partners or opponent's?
