Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 17, 2003 With the introduction of SPRITE Tropical Remix and Mt. Dew Livewire... It seems that The Soda industry are running thin on ideas... What will be the next "Revoultion" in Soda? Grape Flavored Mt. Dew? Cream Soda Sprite? *Adult* Coke (with Artificial Rum)
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Why not the real stuff? The Jim Beam cola type shit in the cans is a decent enough moneymaking idea, people just don't see that red or blue label, and don't buy it. If they had pre-made, canned or bottled mixtures of Jack and Coke, Rum and Coke, 7 and 7, etc.. they'd sell like hotcakes.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Coke wants you to pay $2 for a snazzy, slim can of coke (which only has 8 oz of Coke in it) If you read the article, you'll see this part: Cocktail mixer? Coke tested the metallic red cans -- which included an "original formula" note on the package but had only subtle reference to the name of the brand -- at hot New York bars including Lit, Trust and Shine and at stores like Mac cosmetics and Diesel. It's not clear whether slim Coke is being consumed mainly straight up or, like Red Bull, as a mixer du jour. "This audience in particular -- a young audience -- is attracted to [innovation] like bees to honey. They get bored very quickly. They get inundated," said one person familiar with the company. "Coke is such a recognized icon that to show it in an unexpected way is almost breaking the rules, which is exciting to people." So, in other words, you'll see this before you see premixed alcohol and Coke...because its Trendy to spend $2 for 8 oz of Coke to mix.. As for the next soda creations, I have heard that a certain company is working on a chocolate flavored soda.
