Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted May 17, 2003 In case you don't know what has been going on over the last few weeks...... Thescout.net is reporting that Kelly Osbourne did not leave Epic Records, an imprint of Sony, but in fact was dropped from the label. Epic is said to have dropped her after her album sold under 150,000. No word on what relation this had with Ozzy Osbourne's departure from Sony. Credit: Thescout.net Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne have decided to leave Sony Music. Kelly has been with Sony's imprint, Epic, since her debut album (Shut Up!) while Ozzy has been with Sony ever since he turned into a solo act. "No one's done anything wrong," Sharon Osbourne told People magazine in its current issue. "After all this time you get used to each other, so it's no longer exciting when a new album is turned in. We want that excitement back." Many also suspect that the Osbournes' departure is tied to the January departure of chairman and CEO Tommy Mottola who oversaw everything related to the Osbournes. Credit: MTV According to blabbermouth.net, the Daily Star reports that Sharon Osbourne is in talks with record companies about a new deal for her husband Ozzy and daughter Kelly Osbourne, netting the family even more millions. " She believes she can offer the pair in a special package deal and their level of fame in the U.S. is about as high as it gets," said an insider. While Ozzy is a rock icon, can the same be said about the offspring of an icon? Only time will tell. Source: "Ozzy And Kelly Osbourne Only Come As A Packaged Deal " blabbermouth.net 14 May 2003 Thanks to MTV, Sharon's ego is out of control. Kelly's ego (what right does she have to even have an ego?) is out of control and Jack is Jack. These morons are killing Ozzy's legacy!
Guest Banky Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Ozzy will keep his true fans throughout this garbage. At this juncture in his career, I'm sure Ozzy would rather see his child succeed than himself. Its an unselfish move on his behalf, and I approve.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted May 17, 2003 If people would get over that terrible Shut Up song and give Kelly's album a real chance instead of listening to it with the complete intent to hate it just because of who it was, they'd be surprised at how good it is. It's better than the rest of the pop punk that MTV is playing today. Light years better.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Ozzy was killing himself way before MTV intervened...
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted May 17, 2003 I'm sure Ozzy would rather see his child succeed than himself. Its an unselfish move on his behalf, and I approve. I guess I can understand that to an certain extent, but I've heard Kelly say herself she's only in it for the money right now and doesn't want to make a career out of music. It's not like Ozzy needs her to be successful, she's has to be set for life. There is a trust fund just waiting for her. But, I'm not her father.

Better than the rest of MTV's pop punk? Not a chance...the album is that bad.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted May 17, 2003 I got kellys album, for free from the library, lord knows its not worth 18.99$, and its not great. The first song was actually quite good, except for the vocals being way way to quiet. After that, album sucks. She was like 17 when she wrote it, so was anyone really expecting some spectacular sonic new movement, I wasn't and in that aspect it succeeded greatly. Ozzy just needs to die so he can stop screwing up his legacy. Of course when he dies sharon will release everything ozzy did that he never released. And knowing how ozzy can be when he's fucked up, that stuff is probably really bad. Its gonna be 2pacs dead music all over again.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I wouldn't be worried about Ozzy's legacy at this point. He's already cemented himself has a legend. Helping his daughter out won't matter.
Guest Doyo Report post Posted May 18, 2003 She was like 17 when she wrote it I highly doubt she wrote any of the songs. Maybe some of the lyrics.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Yeah, I doubt she wrote her songs. Hasn't Sharon been nothing but good to Ozzy's career?

It's better than the rest of the pop punk that MTV is playing today. Light years better. Well, that's what was released as a single. Touch luck, little darling. I think it's because you like fatties. I'm sorry, I'm just being mean. I guess I can understand that to an certain extent, but I've heard Kelly say herself she's only in it for the money right now and doesn't want to make a career out of music. No artist says that. People like Britney Spears say they want to grow as an artist and are experimenting with new sounds on this album and other bullshit. No one thinks they mean it, but they kind of have to say it. But then again, maybe Kelly did say that. Hasn't Sharon been nothing but good to Ozzy's career? No, she is ruining his legacy! Don't you read?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 23, 2003 well, Ozzy's still raking in the cash hand over fist, so it's not like they're doing him that much harm. If anything else, his last album or two tarnished his career more than the show ever will. I will add that the new single he did with Black Label Society is catchy as fuck
Guest Memphis Report post Posted May 25, 2003 She was like 17 when she wrote it I highly doubt she wrote any of the songs. Maybe some of the lyrics. Age means nothing. Eddie Vedder wrote most of the songs that appear on 'Ten' when he was very young, around 9-12 years old. Verdict: Kelly sucks. Like you didn't already know that. Guest Scalded Dog Report post Posted May 25, 2003 Im curious what songs did he write at that age? Cause that album is really good
Guest Doyo Report post Posted May 25, 2003 Age means nothing. Eddie Vedder wrote most of the songs that appear on 'Ten' when he was very young, around 9-12 years old. Eddie Vedder didn't write any of the music on "Ten", only lyrics. The music was written and a demo with no vocals was recorded before Vedder was in the group. Vedder got ahold of the demo and dubbed some vocals on it and sent it to the band. Vedder would go surfing after listening to the demo and think of lyrics. I've never read anything about them being from when he was 9-12, so I'm curious where you heard that. My point about Kelly Osbourne was that I don't believe she knows how to play an instrument, so I doubt she contributed anything more than lyrics.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 5, 2003 Sharon has helped Ozzy(and his career) more than she has hurt him. If it wasn't for her that limey bastard would either be dead or he would've gone flat broke and been touring on the State Fair circuit. Lets see... Be a surprise Television hit which makes you a shit load of money and signing a new big contract with your daughter of questionable talent. or Be bankrupt and doing State Fair gigs. Yes...damn that Sharon...damn her coal black heart!
