Going to the Prom...

Wingman at a prom. Damn. I hope he bought you those kegs.

Yeah, it sucked and it sucked hard. Although I partly went because my friend Mike and I had a bet from way back that I had to make this totally undesirable girl my girlfriend and he had to have sex with this bitch that was entirely out of his league. Things weren't going so well for either of us, so I figured that if I went to prom with this bitch, then everything would turn out fine and I would win the bet. However....

After spending $140 on a tux, $60 on tickets, $42 for dinner, gas money, corsage money, and, of course, some smokes, when we got to this kid's house after prom, she started acting like she was sick. I went outside and had a few cigarettes, then I came back in and she was nowhere to be found. I said "oh well" and I went back outside and smoked a couple of joints with said Harkins nerds, then I went back inside and I found Kameron sitting on the couch by himself. I asked him where his date was, and he said he didn't know. I went looking for her, and, lo and behold, she was in the bathroom with the guy who's apartment it was. I went back out to find Kameron and asked him if he wanted to go somewhere, but he said, "No, I have to wait for Sam". So I decided to make things a little more interesting and start fights with people. However, this did not amuse me, so I left.

When I got to the Tripple-Kegger~!, I went to the front door of the house and tried to go inside. The door was locked. When I called my friends to come let me in, I realized that I had lost my wallet, so I couldn't pay the cover charge. My buddy Nate loaned me some cash and told me he was coming to let me in, but I stood there for like 10 minutes and there was nothing. I called Nate angrily, only to find out that I was supposed to come in through the alley. The street this kid lived on was a good mile long, and the house was dead center. So I had to walk a good mile around the block and through the alley just to get there. Once I got there and got in, I realized that I'd left my cigarettes in the car. I then realized that I'd lost one of my cufflinks from my rented tux. Then I realized that I didn't give a shit anymore, because I now had beer, the starter and solver of all the world's problems.

If anyone cares, I could post my prom pics that I just got today.

Wow you guys are all lucky. My prom was always the second week of April. More fucked up than that was that despite it being the seniors last dance, it was the Juniors ceremony. Thats right, every year the Prom King and Queen were juniors.

Oh, I never went to that stuff. I just stayed home and drank myself to oblivion. I think it's safe to say I had a better time.

I didn't go to either prom. Whole idea sucked hard to me. I despised the 2 or so school dances I attended throughout the first couple years of school and figured the prom would be the same thing, plus a tuxedo.

Funny you should word it like that. Well, I can't dance, and neither could she. She said to me, "This is pretty lame, wanna leave?" So we got drunk and made out in her basement instead.

My senior prom, I went with a freshman (she was a friend), and I was fighting a sinus infection. We didn't eat out beforehand, deciding ot eat there, and we arrived early enough to be the second couple there, and that was after a wrong tunr (I don't know my downtown area, where it was held). The food sucked, the cheesecake with "cherry topping" was topped with what appeared to be a fruit roll-up, and at the end we both decided that I should just take her home (we both worked early the next day at our respective houses of worship). I kissed her on the hand instead of the lips, and that was that. Such regrets.

I was going to redo it with a friend, but those plans fell through.

Oddly enough, I rented my tux a week before, and got her corsage th night before.
