I'll all up for listening to it. Just bought Running With Scissors for $1.00, and it's actually pretty good.

Right. Let me get a bump in my server space and I'll put it up.

I hope this CD is great, because it sounds fucking awesome. If you could post that, that would rule the entire earth.

Here it is:

It's about 75megs. They're all 192K. THIS IS HOSTED FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE PEOPLE HERE AT THESMARTMARKS. If you post this on other boards and rape my bandwith I will personally hunt you down, have sex with your girlfriend, then pry open your hard drive and sneeze on the platter!

Thank you very much. I'll chime in after I get a chance to listen to it.

It's pretty good.

Couch Potato, Ode To A Superhero, and Genius in France are the stand-outs.

So I have to download a RAR to open it right?

Damn that Nelly parody was e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t

I love cable internet. :D 75 megs downloaded in around 5 minutes. Excellent, Smithers. I won't get to listen to this tonight, but I'll definitely fire it up sometime this week.

Oh yes, Ode to a Super-hero is great, wish he'd done X-men and Hulk and Daredevil tales too

Angry White Boy Polka is now officially the funniest song of all time.

What is an RAR, and where can I download one?

Err, nevermind, I figured it out.

This rules... period. And is another reason why I love Weird Al

Why are The White Stripes, The Strokes, The Vines and The Hives included in the "Angry White Boy Polka"?

They don't exactly fit into what Al's doing a parody of.

Guest Dmann2000

Consider them the "loud garage sound sub-section" of the polka

Guest Dmann2000

Most of the parodies are pretty good this time around, have to give the originals a couple more listens, though I hope he starts ending every album with a really long crazy train-of-thought- song.

So what would everyone say (who's a fan) is Al's best album?

I got a press copy on Saturday. :P '

As far as the songs go...

1) Couch Potato - Very cool song. I'm big on TV, and this one just listed off so many shows.

2) Hardware Store - Weird, but funny song.

3) Trash Day - Funny song, but I hate "Hot in Here" so I can't listen to it much without the fear of getting that song in my head.

4) Party at the Leper Colony - Blah

5) Angry White Boy Polka - Fast, exciting, fun stuff.

6) Wanna B Ur Lovr - Great song of bad pick-up lines.

7) A Complicated Song - Ehhh...

8) Why Does This Always Happen to Me - Probably my favorite song off the CD.

9) Ode to a Superhero - Seemed like he was reading a plot synopsis from the Spiderman film. Not enough "in" jokes, or even witty comments to make it worthwhile.

10 and 11) I honestly don't remember these two songs (and I just listened to the full CD a few hours ago), so they probably weren't very good.

12) Genius in France - Really, really bad song.

Weird Al's going on tour, and I'm sooo going to it when he comes to Philly.

Right now, "Bob" gets the nod for best song on the album, because it's all palindromes.

That's just neat.

75 megs...uhh by the time I get it downloaded I'll be buying it. Glad for the early input though. It's a pickup for me definitely, always been a big fan of his.

I actually like his newer stuff because it sounds more finished, although the classic stuff (Another One Rides the Bus, etc.) are still greats.

Oh... Party At The Leper Colony seems to be a slowed down parody of the theme from "Footloose" that's all I could think when I listened to it.

Hardware Store - **3/4

Party At The Leper Colony - **3/4

Angry White Boy Polka - I don't rate polkas, but above average as far as they go

Wanna Be Your Lover - ***

A Complicated Song - ***1/2

Why Does This Always Happen to Me - ****

Ode to a Superhero - ****1/4

Bob - **3/4

Ebay - ***3/4
