What's your current baseball record?

Just thought to start up some talk about your current season/franchise and pretty much brag or notice things or what not.

Currently I'm playing as the Toronto Blue Jays in MVP in my franchise's first year and my record is right now 38-5. I got some lucky breaks in it as I managed a nice 2-1 start against the Yankees (lost my last game against them in a blow out of 12-4). Then I went on a tear winning 17 games straight, before almost blowing a series against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. I lost the first two games of that series then blew them out in the last game. After May 1st, to which I lost to the Texas Rangers 4-3, I've then gone on a 14 game winning streak. So I'm quite happy. Then again, I've been playing the bottom feeders of the MLB, so I think my record will tank as soon as I face up against the Chicago White Sox (who lead the AL Cental).

I've got some great pitching going on as I've got Sturtze with an 8-1, a 1.23 era, 4CG, 3SHO, 9 SO and worked 73 IP. Damien Bristol (created player) is also doing really well going 8-0 with 77.1 IP, 4CG, 3SHO, 47SO, and an era of 1.98. However, my best pitcher is the last of my rotation Hendrickson who's pitched for 67.1 innings, has a 6-0 record, has 4CG, 3SHO, 13SO, and an era of 0.40! Only SP who challenges Hendrickson is Glavine of the NYM with an era of .90 (he's 7-0 for the Mets).

I've probably got the best batting going around. With Vernon Wells hitting .423 and most hits with 77 (both MLB leading). First Staven (created player) and Carlos Delgado leading the MLB first and second respectively in HR (24, 21). Hinske is probably my best base runner since he's got a whopping 34 2nd hits (MLB leading). Although Stewart is leading my team with 3B hits of 11 (MLB leading), but Wells is only a single one behind. Most RBIs are held by Delgado and Staven respectively again at 60 and 57, and also lead the MLB.

Oh yeah, here's how the AL East is doing with me dominating the league.

Tor|38-05|0.884%|0GB

Bal|23-20|0.535%|15GB

Bos|22-21|0.512%|16GB

NYY|19-24|0.442%|19GB

TB|17-26|0.395%|21GB

Needless to say, I'm not too worried about losing a couple of games here or there... What shocks me is that the Yankees are almost in the cellar. Most amusing thing about my season really.

Anyways, so like, how's everyone else doing? I wanna hear stories and such. Cause I wanna get guys season's going.

Since I also said stories, I'll mention my first series against TB. I lost the starting two games 4-3 and in the ninth inning because I brought in Escobar early and lost via HR twice (both triple blasts). It was quite embaressing to do that twice in a row, especially considering I held them to that single run since like the 3rd and 4th inning respectively. Worse yet, my best offense guys were in massive slumps that probably didn't help either.

Um... with a record like that and stats like those, I have to ask... what difficulty level do you play on?

As the Red Sox, I'm about 15 games over .500 but 12.5 behind the Yanks in July of my first year of Franchise on High Heat. My offense is really putting up the stats in that I lead the league in average (.334, a little too high to be realistic I know) , RBI, doubles and triples. Nomar's been put on the DL twice, Manny leads the league in RBI with 88 and Damon leads the league with a .385 average.

It's my pitching that's letting me down. Pedro is struggling a little (only 9-6 so far), Lowe's my best pitcher (10-1, 2.34 ERA), and my bullpen is REALLY struggling. Had to make a few moves with AAA and sign a few players (Juan Acevedo for one).

I started at Pro, but that got too easy so I moved to All-Star (tuning the game a bit) and then to MVP for a while, but the game got a little TOO hard for my tastes so I tuned it a little more and dropped back to All-Star, which I'm happy with.

I've had too many good games to count, but I've gotten blown out a few times, too (once to the Mariners 22-5 and the Yanks 18-6)

Hardest setting.

Although starting pitcher Damien Bristol, right fielder First Staven and newly created catcher M.Corin are all fucking Gods.

That and I figured out how to hit. That's all. Time the swing just right, and you can nail just about everything and anything.

That and when you've got Delgado and Staven as your heavy hitters, it's basically a no contest.

That and frankly, when I pitch, I only pitch in the cold spots and on the corners of the box. Although, I found that my weakness was in my relief pitching. I can't toss any of those bastards in or I'm fucked. So I try using my starting pitchers the full game.
