Bored 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 "Chuck Palumbo def. Diamond Dallas Page Vampiro def. Hulk Hogan" Holy fuck. BTW what is this, Ric flair vs midcarders week? Yes during Russo's booking he did have a lot of young guys go over established stars but problem was none of them could go over clean and the booking was so shitty in general, so no one was watching thus no one really got over because of it. Palumbo won due to interference by Mike Awesome and Vampiro won due to interference by Billy Kidman. Didn't help that it was the same show where Daffney won the Cruiserweight title. Oh and how dare you say Syxx is a midcarder! He's been main eventing PPVs for years...just ask him.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Biggest problem was that Luger, Hogan, etc. would refuse to job to Vampiro, Kidman, Awesome, Palumbo, etc. clean. Didn't have a big problem with Daffney winning the title, as it was won on a fluke. Russo did wind up putting Three Count, Chavo, Lash, Jung Dragons, Skipper, etc. on TV, so I was happy. Bored 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 1998 should've been a 3 hour show... or was this a NBA pre empt week? Yes it was an NBA playoff situation so the show was only one hour. The previous week they had just two matches and less than 5 minutes of wrestling time. This week it was three matches with a little over 8 minutes of wrestling time.
