Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 are these any good? I've been not watching the show so long that I couldn't just start watching again, so I figured I'd just buy the season sets as they come out.
Guest brokentusk16 Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Seasons 1-3 are the cream of the crop. Season 4 is comig out soon, but get some of the first three before you make a judgment. The show is also in reruns on FX.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 I need to buy the DVDs also. I just recently got addicted and watch the show all the time on FX, but I get so easily confused by seeing different episodes from different seasons back-to-back. I mean, I gotta concentrate on whether Spike is in the series yet or not (and if he's good or evil), whether Faith is a good girl or a bad girl, if Dawn is around yet, if Willow has her witchy powers or not, and that's not even counting the various supporting players along the lines of Seth Green and Charisma Carpenter, whom I can't even figure out who the hell they are. Well, at least I can always count on Xander being a clueless putz, no matter what season it is.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 FX has been showing the seasons straight through in order for awhile now. What do you mean different seasons back to back? Or did FX stop doing that? I haven't watched the FX episodes in awhile since they got into seasons I've already seen all of.
Guest Mole Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Aww, what FX are you watching? They whole seasons at a time. Season 4 just started on Friday, so I am sure you can start on Monday and still know what is going on. Deifiently go and get season's 1-3. Season 3 is the best season, followed by season 2.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 I caught some season 5 episode on oned day, and season 2 or 3 eps the next. Maybe it was a screw up or something.
Guest Kingpk Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Maybe they are watching the syndicated Buffy. My Fox affiliates show sometimes out-of-order Buffy eps sometimes.
Guest Mole Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 Yeah, that has to be it. What day did you catch a season 5 episode, then a season 2-3? I was watching season 3 on FX all the way through and I didn't see a season 5 episode.
Guest Max Danger Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 If he's watching the morning editions, then it's possible. They show the previous day's shows the next morning. But sometimes, when FX only shows one Buffy episode at night(then play a movie - usually on Tuesdays), then in the morning they show an episode from another season and then the episode that aired the night previous. So that's probably what he's doing. And, as far as syndication goes, the two stations that shows(Saturday night one is on Season Four whereas the Sunday one is at Season One again) them here do them in order, but the syndication deals are different in each market.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 They do show 'em back-to-back, but I rarely get the chance to sit down and watch it more than once or twice a week, which leaves me pretty lost. And since all the seasons are eventually coming out on DVD anyway, I don't bother taping them.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I think Max got it. I'm up early everyday, so I tune in to see which ep it is.
