Guest Banky Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I was thinking. If the WWE turned Steiner bad ass, ass kicking style, he'd be much better off. In fact, Steiner wouldn't be the only one better off, the WWE would be better off. Sure, the guy is limited in his working style...and we've all excepted that. But his character? Honestly, it could still be great if the volume was turned up 100% on it. The fans have already turned on the guy, so why not direct those ill feelings into a massive heel push. Steiner has the fundamentals done good enough that many faces could help him put together a good match. So why not turn the guy, have him as this crazy, roid ragin' heel and help turn around the company? Because as a heel, he could help RAW from its massive hole of suckasstitude. Give the guy a chance, he isn't close to as bad as others in the company. Just spare him the lame booking that has made his return look so terrible. Put him in the role he perfected, and made him a star in WCW. TURN HIM BAD ASS!!
Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 19, 2003 He should be a heel, and only a heel. Since he became a full time singles star, it's been the only gimmick that works with him, and he's VERY good at pulling it off. I hate seeing him a face right now, it just doesn't fit him at all. Let him act like a heel, as he always has, and then if the fans begin to prefer him like that and start cheering him, then so be it. Something like what happened with Austin, if you know what I mean. Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted May 19, 2003 A badass idea would be to not push Steiner at all.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I think that idea was floated around after the fans turned on him so radically the second time at No Way Out. In fact, they said something on Raw once to the effect that Steiner was going to be at Wrestlemania "and he's going to make an impact!" Perhaps this was the setup for some heel turn on the biggest show of the year, but I guess putting him with Test in a Jealous Boyfriend angle in the midcard seemed like a better idea. Guest The Bad Guy Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I'll admit... I was a Steiner mark back in the days of WCW and if they do something with him I'd like them to make him the bad ass that he was there. At this time though, I don't know if that would be enough to save him. The way he was brought in and the feud with Triple H did nothing but wreck any credibility he may have had. It would take quite some time to build him into a believable role as a bad ass.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 19, 2003 They could do a gimmick where Steiner sucks all the muscle out of all the faces in the WWE and the only one who can stop him is the Hurricane - who, by being a beanpole and thus has no muscle to be sucked, is the only one able to defeat him... Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted May 19, 2003 If getting Steiner over as a heel is gonna work, they have to let him be the pipe carrying, womanizing bastard he was in WWE. Since they want to change everything up from how WCW did things (except Booker's theme music) they won't do it and in turn Steiner gets to rot in the feud from hell with Test. Guest Cover of Darkness Report post Posted May 19, 2003 They signed him, they might as well do something. He adds star power, and he can work next year's elimination chamber. He could also be a way to turn Jericho face and have Jericho feud with him.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted May 19, 2003 It would take quite some time to build him into a believable role as a bad ass. The sad thing about the statement is that it is true. After brawling with Nowinski for weeks, and jobbing clean to Patterson's boy toys Steiner needs some work. Just a few months ago he was the most over guy on the Raw roster. He got exposed because he worked a long match with another sub-par worker. Have him turn heel, and then feed him someone like Al Snow who could bump for all of his stuff and work from there. It would take a little time, but would work. Edit - It's too bad Jeff Hardy is gone, he could have been good fodder for Steiner's power offense. It's too bad they won't let him use the screwdriver anymore.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 20, 2003 No, the WWE rips off Tiny Toons too much already... *remembers the eps. where Plucky goes to an amusement park w. Hampton and his family, goes through absolute hell, finally gets there, and all they do is ride the monorail once* That's the WWE in a nutshell.
