LaParkaYourCar Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I don't think this has been done so I'll start a thread about it. The TNG cliffhanger where Picard became a Borg was great. I remember being so anxious to find out what happened next.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 21, 2003 Author Report Posted May 21, 2003 I knew that one would show up. I guess I should have asked for "favorite" instead of best.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Buffy season 5. I spent the whole summer wondering how they were going to start season 6.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 The one from an hour ago (24 season 2), but yeah, "The Best of Both Worlds, Part 1", with Riker giving the order to fire, was pretty kickass as well.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 the Buffy where she got expelled from school and took the bus out of town. I don't know if that's the one YNA mentioned or not.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 the Buffy where she got expelled from school and took the bus out of town. I don't know if that's the one YNA mentioned or not. That's season 2...good call
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 I am going to have to second the 24 season 2 nomination.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Caroline in the City season 1. ... Fuck you. It was a GREAT ending.
Guest Flyboy Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 (edited) Ned & Stacy Season 1 also had a swank ending... too bad it didn't get pass season two. Same thing goes for Two of a Kind season one. Edited May 21, 2003 by Flyboy
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Chris Elliott falls out of a plane on the series finale of Get a Life. Ending the show on a cliffhanger was brilliant.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 21, 2003 Author Report Posted May 21, 2003 Chris Elliott falls out of a plane on the series finale of Get a Life. Ending the show on a cliffhanger was brilliant. But didn't he die in every episode of that show? I loved that show.
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 How was season one a cliffhanger? I thought it wrapped the season up... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The wife died...That's not a cliffhanger... Season 2 is...Not season one...
Conspiracy_Victim Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Yeah TNG Borg was a great one. "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistence is futile. Prepare to be assimilated." "Fire." Family had a collective heart attack when the screen blacked out.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 7th Heaven, yesterday, forget what season. WAS LUCY PREGNANT? OH MY GOD! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FALL TO COME TO SEE IF SHE IS PREGNANT! AND IF SIMON TAKES THE HOOKER TO THE PROM!
Guest NoCalMike Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Who Shot Mr. Burns. Is Adabesi really dead...
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Well, Dallas always had great cliffhanger endings. They pretty much invented the concept for television dramas taking cues from the old Hollywood serials. Who shot JR and Bobby in the shower being the biggest two. The series also ended on a cliffhanger of whether JR shot himself or not, which was later answered in a reunion film. The who shot JR finale really was brilliant as it played like a good old fashioned who dunnit where everbody had a motive and a gun. There were a dozen suspects who all made sense. I'm a huge St. Elsewhere fan and the next to last season where they were going to tear down the hospital with a wrecking ball and a delusional Aushlander was stuck inside was great. I can't remember if Peter White getting shot was a cliffhanger season ender or not?
Guest tank_abbott Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Maybe you all could elaborate on how these shows ended, and not just mention the show and season...please? *Spoiler*
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Is Adabesi really dead... I think the whole deal with him stabbed in the gut and coughing up blood meant he was dead. I was more wonder what they would do after season 3...that's when the black/white race tension was at it's highest.

But didn't he die in every episode of that show? I loved that show. They had no qualms about killing him from time to time, but it wasn't every episode.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 The one where Rachel and Ross got married on Friends was great. Too bad they ruined it with a crappy payoff
Guest Bosstones Fan Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 The one where Rachel and Ross got married on Friends was great. Too bad they ruined it with a crappy payoff That's a great one, but I was even more intrigued by what would happen after Ross said Rachel's name during his wedding to Emily.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 The series finale to Quantamn Leap was a great cliffhanger. I really hope that one day they do a payoff. Maybe in a t.v. movie or feature motion picture. Scott Bakula said he would like to do the show again. And the MST3K Season Seven Finale (their final episode on Comedy Central) was a great cliffhanger, IMO. It left the door open for Season Eight (which it did), and was a nice goodbye to Dr. Forrester.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 how did MST3K end on CC? I missed that episode and was confused as to how it ended.
