I, too, have the X-Men "movie" when Kitty Pryde first enters the mansion.

X-Men, X-Men! Save the day, save the day! X-Men, X-Men! COMIN' YOUR WAY!

...proof, once again, why the Fox X-Men cartoon of the 90's owned ALL...

And Kitty was an idiot and phased into the mansion's computers and fucked shit up.

And Juggernaut and Magneto were all bad assed running through everything Professor X was throwing at them.

And Cyclops had Duke's voice.

And Wolverine was Australian.

And Dazzler was there for reasons that were probably beyond the writers themselves.

Yeah, it owned.

Yeah. It was based on a straight to video animated movie (pre Fox, of course). Most were 4 players, few were 2 players only, but the real gems were the 6 player machines. Yes, I said 6 players.

I think the lineup was Wolverine (with an Aussie accent for some reason) Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Dazzler, Collosus, and Storm.

Do you remember one similar to that. With Captain America & the Avengers? Another one I always saw previews off but never got a chance to actually play. =\

Anyone have MAME roms for X-Men and X-Men COTA? All the ones I download seem to be missing files [surprise, surprise].

I tried it already. With cookies turned on as they suggest. Everytime it downloads, it's missing files. =\

Those are X-box graphics? How horrid.

I don't even like X-Box, but in it's defense the game IS just under development.

Fair enough, hopefully they will be vastly improved

Plus, Freedom Force didn't have the best graphics, but the game ruled simply because of gameplay and story.

Is the chick with short brown hair supposed to be Jean Grey?

Yeah, that was in fact, the title of the game. I was always Iron Man for some reason. Pretty cheesy voice-overs in the game. Especially with Cap's 'I...Can't...Move!' when he would die.

Ha!

I still use that line.

I'm just glad to see they finally ditched the old school yellow uniforms, those were hideous. Hopefully this will be like a really big and official Freedom Force.

I believe so.

They're all based on the costumes from the "Ultimate" line of comics, not the regular continuity X-Men.

Clone Wars kicked ass. Hopefully this will too.

Clone Wars did indeed rule :)

I'd play it now, but I donated my Sega to my temple ;)

The X-Men arcade games 'owns' both CotA and Clone Wars.

It's as repetitive as Clone Wars, but still the most fun I've had playing any X-themed title (excluding porn of course).

I'm still waiting for that perfect X-Men. This could be it, but a create-a-Mutant feature would certainly put it over the top.

Which Arcade game? The one where you could have four people playing at once? I never got a chance to play that one back in the day. =\

The arcade that i live near by still has the 6-man X-Men arcade game.

Me and 5 friends beat the game, it took a lot of quaters
