My list, which is just 10:

1. Hokuto vs. Kandori 4/93

-Incredible story, not to mention the greatest in ring and out of the ring performance I've ever seen, courtesy of Hokuto. Scared, insecure, but brave, Hokuto tries every approach possible to stop Kandori and protect the honor and tradition of her company, but nothing works. In the end, it's only Hokuto's will to win that saves her from the dangerous invader.

2. Misawa/Akiyama vs. Kawada/Taue 12/96

-All four men had something to prove this night, and in some ways all of them would make their point, and so the stage was set for the greatest men's match of all time. Misawa is still a badass motherfucker, Taue finds redemption by saving Kawada after failing to do so the entire year, Kawada finally gets back on the trail to the Triple Crown, and Akiyama proves that he does belong in the top. The continuation from the previous matches has never been done better, specifially one of the greatest false finishes I've ever seen at the half way point, the crowd completely bought that it was the end.

3. Misawa/Kobashi vs. Kawada/Taue 6/95

-This is the match where it all comes together, all the puzzle pieces fit that were laid out the previous two years finally come together in one of the most dramatic matches of all time. Kobashi gets what he deserves with ironic injury, Taue finishes what he started in the Carnies and cements his place as the number 3 native, while Kawada completes his two year quest. More than just a story match, the action is fast, crisp, smooth, and non stop as they haul ass to the finish with over 20 minutes of near falls of high spots.

4. Yamada/Toyota vs. Kansai/Ozaki 2/3 falls 11/92

-Wow, what a match. Everytime I watch it, I find something new. Ozaki steals the show, giving one of the greatest heel performances I've ever seen. Despite it's flaws, I really can't imagine finding a funner and more entertaining match.

5. Misawa/Kobashi vs. Kawada/Taue 12/93

-On the buffy threads, I see they will sometimes wish that the WWE had similar writers where foreshadowing and what not is used to set up a big season finalle(match). If that's what you want, than look no further than this match, as Kawada spends most of the year foreshadowing his demise at the hands of Kobashi. Desperate, Kobashi tosses all ethics aside, and viciously assaults Kawada's injured leg leading to the greatest and more surreal and heart breaking selling I've ever seen.

6. Misawa/Kawada 6/3/94

-This match is more than a year in the making, the symbolism they use goes all the way back into the last decade, as they use familiar imagery to tell the greatest story ever told in the ring. Perhaps the most important All Japan match of the 90s, as Misawa digs deeper than ever before, challening to the spirit of Jumbo to finally fight off the last challenge to his position. Probably the best built singles match of all time, as the first Powerbomb is probably one of the most credible near falls in history. The dramatic post match stuff still gets to me, and makes me misty eyed.

7. Tamura vs. Koshaka 6/98

-I'm not as familar with Rings as I would like to be, but I do know that this is without question the greatest and most quickest mat wrestling I've ever seen. Blows Beniot and Malenko right out of the water!

8. Kong vs. Toyota 11/94

-The greatest moster vs. underdog match of alltime. Kong perfectly puts over Toyota, while still making herself look strong and unbeatable. Toyota also gives one of her finest performances, and her torturted screams actually work this time rather than annoy.

9. Liger vs. Sammy 4/92

-Rather than follow the usual Junior formula, Liger decides to do something special here. Tossing the blue print aside, Liger constructs a powerful morality tale where the young punk tries to make a name for himself by attempting to humilate Liger, big mistake.

10. Jumbo vs. Funk 11/76

-The real greatest NWA World Title Match of all time. Sure there have been more advanced and complex All Japan matches later on, but this match is just so damn emotional and worked so intensily, I had to include it here. Jumbo is excellent as the atheletically superior young superstar, while the overwhelmed vet has to do some very dastardly things to defend his title.

The 92 Rumble is so overrated. Sure, Flair wins it. But it's not that great.
