Guest yoshihiromwt Posted March 25, 2002 Report Posted March 25, 2002 From what I've seen, Wildside by far is the best booked promotion in the U.S. I mean, there's a slow build to mostly everything. Look at it like this: the Adam Jacobs-Lazz feud started in October, and looks like it ended this past Saturday with Lazz losing "his career" in a Cornette booking-styled match. How many feuds have the WWF had since October? About as many as Wildside did in the whole year 2001. Also, Wildside took what may have been the Taker-Big Show-Kane 60-minute Ironman match of the Southeast indy scene, Tank vs. Iceberg, and built it up so well that you could actually believe that it wouldn't suck ass warts. I'm interested how Behrens and the crew will book The Briscoe Bros.' debut on April 5.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted March 25, 2002 Report Posted March 25, 2002 I went with CZW...I don't have access to any wildside tv, so I can't make a real accurate vote...but I went with CZW. Indy are hard to book with storylines...most indys seem to run once a month...and it's hard to keep interest in the product when you won't be running for another 30 days. CZW runs more often then most indies and the storylines are usually pretty good.
Guest razazteca Posted March 26, 2002 Report Posted March 26, 2002 Since all I get is NWA Wildeside and Southwest I must choose Wildside. The last couple of shows focused on AJ Stlyes as champ and the feud between Young & Michaels. As for Southwest it has Hellrazor Hart as a leader for the heel stable.
Guest thebear Posted March 26, 2002 Report Posted March 26, 2002 Eastern Canada's Real Action Wrestling... Home of the best indy heel faction ever...
Guest J*ingus Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Why I love Wildside... new tag champs The Lost Boys are set to defend the belts against the Briscoe Brothers at the next TV taping, and the SATs are supposed to get a shot down the line as well. Those should be some WHOMP-ass matches.
Guest yoshihiromwt Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 What I wonder is if The Briscoes be booked as Jeff G. Bailey heel goons, or visiting babyfaces. Jay is starting to look more and more like a heel, and is bulking up some. Still, either way, Briscoes vs. Lost Boys should be tons of whomp-ass fun. What sucks is that Jingus gets to see it live, and we don't (since he's the unofficial chauffer for "Smart" Bart Sawyer).
Guest J*ingus Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 True, but I don't get the TV show either, so it works out (almost) evenly.
Guest TheDames7 Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 The first Ring of Honor show was AWESOME and probably the best booked show, in terms of booking AND workrate I've ever seen. Dames
