Angle and Edge to be agents

With Kurt Angle and Edge on the sidelines, there is talk that they will be used to council other wrestlers on their matches.

 

Since both are viewed as veterans and backstage leaders, WWE management would like to use both to help younger wrestlers plan out their matches, acting as agents.

He doesn't. Angle isn't as bad but he's got the same problem.

 

I expect HHH to give them a few lectures beforehand, so that they can pass on his knowledge of how to be a good worker.

Edge isn't going to be back until NEXT YEAR though. Well, possibly late this year, but not for a long time.

Wasn't Edge at WMXIV in the mixed tag match (Sable/Edge vs. Jackie/Marc Mero)?

 

So I think he debuted shortly after the Rumble and had some squash matches, with Mania being his PPV debut.

 

So spring, not summer. Nevertheless, he's been there much longer than most of the SD guys have, so makes sense.

 

Edge and Kurt should be co-GMs of Smackdown...plus it would get Steph off tv!

Shame that Vince isn't interested in providing that.  I'd mark for that combination.

Maybe he can teach everyone his creepy face that he uses when he lays on the mat and slowly waits for his opponent to do something

Say what you want about Edge, but he does know when to upnotch during the match as needed, which makes his matches entertaining. Also, as noted, he can do sayings without sounding lame or cliche, which is very hard. Brock for example is very talented, but he needs a way to make the fans pop for something other than the F5. Angle, as very good as he is, can't help him there as they are similar in style. Edge can help him a lot with that.

He's been wrestling since at least 96, and in the WWE since 98...so he's been there longer then most of the others.

Yeah, its not like Edge is going to be teaching Eddie Guerrero or anything but there are people that could learn WWE pacing a little better like the members of the FBI and Rhyno (as a face anyway).

Or maybe Edge can help people with how to connect with crowds, when to make your comebacks, etc. He's very good at getting the crowd into his matches
