Excellent quality from a picture and sound standpoint, with every episode having commentary from Matt Groening, Al Jean and whoever directed that episode plus a few other random writers. Both seasons come with some extras too, quite a few hard to find things like the old Tracy Ulman episodes, the Bart music videos, and the original incredibly fucked up version of the Simpsons where the animators got all the characters wrong. Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 23, 2003 I own them both. If you are a true Simpson's fanatic, then you should own them as well. For me, it's a show that you can watch any episode, at any time, and be happy. Then for each episode to have commentary, and we're really talking great stuff here. Even knowing that the show doesn't get great until season 3 I bought the first two seasons, because I just had to have them. I'm going to be checking these out, courtesy of NetFlix, so I wanted to get some opinions from those who already owned the sets. The Simpsons set was originally set for August, but some places are now indicating a July 29 release, which is when they said it was originally supposed to come out (after the rumors of a May release were killed a few months back).
