Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 This week's Smackdown did a 3.3 broadcast rating, with a 6 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is up from last week's 3.1. It should be noted that the television season ended last week and all of the network programming, except the NBA playoffs on ABC, was in repeats. The highest quarter hour of the show was the 3.8 for the last quarter hour, which was the Hulk Hogan vs. Sean O'Haire match. 1wrestling
TheFranchise Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 There you have it then. Hogan is the company's biggest draw. Hogan vs HHH at Mania then, a legends match, 20... weeks in the making.
Guest Coffey Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I know that was sarcasm...but we've already seen H³ Vs. H³ once...just because he's 'Mr. America' wouldn't make it a new match. Vince does know this right? Right? Please tell me that he knows this... Wrestlemania XX will most likely have Goldberg Vs. Austin & Kurt Angle Vs. Brock Lesnar II. Of course, that's just speculation.
TheFranchise Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I'd like to re-enforce the point that Austin/Goldberg will now suck. Hate to say it, but Austin needs a wrestler who can protect him. Not kick him in the head.
TheFranchise Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Sorry dude. Maybe people have noticed how much of a bret mark i really am. But i wouldn't like to see Austin/Goldberg, unless i knew that Austin COULD go.

They've actually done HHH v. HHH twice. Jag0 is right though- Get over the kick. Yea Goldberg is a fuckhole for doing it but Bret isn't too bright either for continuing to wrestle after it. There are many other reasons to hate Goldberg for it
Guest EternallyLazy Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 I'd rather see Austin/Hogan The match would probably suck more than Austin/Goldberg, but the heat would be off the charts at MSG
Guest bob_barron Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Austin v. Hogan is also the safer match for Austin. My ending- Hogan does his hulk up routine and points the finger at Austin. Austin flips him off KICK WHAM STUNNER 1...2...3

Guest ViciousFish Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 That would be a classic moment and one of my favorites until I died.
