I was watching CNN today and across the bottom of the screen it said that Steve-O was being held in Sweden because he swallowed a condom filled with weed. Now it was just a quick sentence and it didn't say what the circumstances were, but that's still pretty funny.

I have searched all over the net trying to find more details about this but came up empty. I don't think CNN would put up bogus reports, so if anybody knows anything else about this please post it.

Sweden is one of the most hard-ass countries in Europe when it comes to drug laws. Catching a person with even the smallest amount of an illegal substance can lead to jail time there. Sucks to be Steve-O at this moment, but I wonder why he chose Sweden of all places to pull off this stunt.

I don't think he had a reason for doing it in Sweden really. It's just where he happened to be on tour at that moment. Very recently, like in the last week I think, he tried the same stunt, but puked up the condom on stage in Amsterdam.

Here's the followup to the story:

 

Jackass star Steve-O is finally free after being held in Swedish prison for nearly a week. Steve has reached a deal with Swedish officials who have been preparing a drug possession and trafficing case against him.

 

Steve-O pleaded guilty to two counts of drug possession and was released after paying a fine.

 

He admitted to possessing 5 grams of marijuana and one ecstasy pill, but said he didn't know where the ecstasy came from. As for his claim that he swallowed a condom full of drugs on a flight into Sweden, he said that was just a joke.
