Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Oh, so now Mysterio's signed, and suddenly Raw is going to look like Telemundo. I think they just like to tease us with this cruiser bull$hit. I can just hear next week's ross report: "With talents like The Hurricane, Billy Kidman, and Rey Mysterio Jr., we have some young studs to build the division around, by gawd. Scalded dog! Scalded dog!" ??? I just wanted to point out that a WWF cruiser division will NEVER happen, no matter what they tell us, or even what they do. And if by some miracle it does, you better get used to saying "Shane McMahon, Light-Heavy Weight Champion."
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Shane is above working with lightweights, he learned that from X-Pac.

Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Well, I don't know....the WWF (JR in particular) have been ranting and raving for months how they are going to heavily push the cruiserweight divsion. It would make them like pretty dumb (as if they don't look dumb enough already) to have the whole thing flop. If they push the right guys, and use the resources at their hands, it could be great. But, unfortunetly, Brian Christopher will probably make his triumphant return somewhere in the middle of all this...and you know what that means.....
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Push to the moon!
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Yeah, not only would he get pushed to the cruiserweight moon, he'd probably end up single-handedly ruining the cruiser divsion, just like back in '97.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Yeah, I don't mind him though.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 26, 2002 its Galavision esse!!!!!!!!! I hate the hook and bait tactics that WWF use when they work the net. Well the Lightweight division can work if everyone spoke espanol or japanese but then how would they do promos? Who would their managers be....Sonny Ono, Paul E.? blah blah blah blah
Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Christopher's okay, but he just doesn't fit in with the rest of the cruisers. It's like tossing Kurt Angle in there, the styles just wouldn't mesh.

And if by some miracle it does, you better get used to saying "Shane McMahon, Light-Heavy Weight Champion." I think that if they let Malenko book the division like I'm hearing, it'll do fine. He was pretty much the guy who kick-started the Cruiserweight division in WCW, so having him book it is a great idea. They deffinately have the talent, and if they have someone in there who knows how to utalize it, it just might work. I mean, look at the women's division. That belt is really starting to mean something too, and there are far less talented women in the WWF than there are talented cruisers. If they book Tajiri, Kidman, Helms, Mysterio and maybe Chavo as cornerstone's of the division, they'll do fine. It would be nice if Eddy was still around, and they should have held on to Kaz Hayashi for sure, but they can still manage.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 All those guys would be nice, and add Jamie Knoble in there as well. He is very good, having been trained by Deano himself. He reminds me of an early '90s Benoit-in-Japan.

Too true. There ain't much call for Memphis-style wrestling in a cruiserweight division.
Guest RickyB Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I doubt that they'd bring back Brian Christopher. I seen him in UK Wrestling Revival earlier this year and his match with Ulf Herman (or something like that) was terrible. Brian Christopher looks like he's put on a lot of weight too so I can't see him coming back anytime soon. If they do what WCW did and try and bring back that "anyone can beat anyone" feel in the Cruiserweight Division, and also if they give the Cruiserweights at least 5-10 minutes to build up their matches, oh and if they bring back the 6-man lucha rules matches to open the shows then the division should take off well. Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 26, 2002 What's wrong with Brian Christopher?! It would be nice if Eddy was still around, and they should have held on to Kaz Hayashi for sure, but they can still manage. Kaz wasn't happy and wanted to leave, so it was right to let him go.
