Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted May 25, 2003 I'm watching the ceremonies on Bravo right now, if anyone else has been following the festival, post thoughts here. I've heard how bad Vincent Gallo's "The Brown Bunny" is, I almost want to see it now.

Guest MDH257 Report post Posted May 26, 2003 What is the name of the movie causing contraversy because Chloe Sevingny is LEGIT giving her co-star(a male) head during a scene? It's The Brown Bunny. That's not why it's controversial. The whole movie is suposedly Vincent Gallo driving by himself with literally nothing happening. The are close ups of bugs hitting his winshield, shots of other cars getting smaller in the distance as they pass Gallo's car. The crowd at Cannes gave mock applause when Gallo gets out of the car and fills up with gas since it was the first time anything had happened during the movie. At the end movie, Gallo fantasizes about his girlfriend (Chloe Sevengny) giving him a BJ. Most of the crowd had apparently walked out by that point. The people still there were supposedly so harsh that Chloe cried. Vincent Gallo vowed never to direct another movie, apologized to his investors, and told the audience he was sorry if they felt he made a self indulgent film or had wasted their time. Guest godthedog Report post Posted May 26, 2003 It's the story of one man's tragic loss of the love of his life. He is Bud Clay. And he races motorcycles. He rides in the 250cc Formula II class of road racing. Round and round he goes, repeating laps over and over until the race is over. The story begins with Bud racing in New Hampshire. Bud's next race is in California in five Days. And so his journey begins across America. And everyday Bud is haunted by the same memories of the last time he saw his true love. Bud will do anything to make those memories disappear. And every day he tries to find a new love. Making outrageous requests of women to come with him on his trip and then leaving them behind after they've agreed. He can't replace Daisy, the only girl he's ever loved and the only girl he will ever love. But every day he tries. (imdb plot summary) if that's what the movie's about, then SOMETHING must happen in it, at least with a voiceover or something.
