Tonight: X-Pac vs. Hollywood Hogan Billy and Chuck defend the WWF Tag Team Title vs. Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert William Regal vs. Edge 15-minute interview: the nWo. Thursday on SmackDown, X-Pac attacked Hulk Hogan. Tonight he explains that he's been waiting for the opportunity to get back at Hogan for 4 years. Clips of Hogan from the 3/26/1998 edition of Thunder: "And as for 6-Pack, well...he couldn't cut the mustard." Tonight X-Pac proves he can cut the mustard. Scott Hall asks X-Pac to save some for him for Backlash. Ric Flair's first pick: Steve Austin. Segment 2 Flair asks for clarification: anybody under WWF contract is eligible to be drafted. His second pick: Shawn Michaels. McMahon nearly has a heart attack. Non-Title with a 10 minute time limit: Christian vs. Diamond Dallas Page (European Champion) Match starts back and forth. DDP gains an advantage early and gets 2 off of an elbow. Christian gains the advantage with a swinging DDT and takes control. Christian takes DDP down with a vertical facebuster and gets 2. Frustrated, he picks up DDP for a side suplex, but DDP blocks and counters it into a Diamond Cutter for the pin at 4:24. *1/4 McMahon's 2nd pick: Kevin Nash Segment 3 McMahon's 3rd pick: Scott Hall 15 minute time limit: William Regal vs. Edge Standard Edge-Regal match. Edge goes to the top for a missile dropkick, but Regal catches him with the brass knuckles on the way down. A Regal Stretch later, and the match is over in 3:07. * 1/2 Flair's 3rd pick: The Undertaker Segment 4 Flair's 4th pick: Rob Van Dam 45-minute time limit for the WWF Tag Team Title: Scotty 2 Hotty/Albert vs. Billy/Chuck (champions) Speculation from JR as to whether either of these teams will be together after Thursday night. The match is dominated by Albert and Scotty with their typical comedy-based offense. Cut to the back where we find out McMahon's 4th pick: X-Pac. Late in the match, Charles Robinson is bumped. Chuck brings a chair in and tries to hit Albert with it, but Scotty takes him down with a bulldog. Scotty follows it with the Worm as Albert takes Billy down with a Baldo Bomb. Robinson wakes up and counts, but sees the chair at two and calls for the bell. He disqualifies ALBERT AND SCOTTY at 9:00 for using the chair because it's underneath Chuck. DUD Albert and Scotty argue after the match. McMahon's 5th pick: Hulk Hogan? Segment 5 Flair's 5th pick: Edge Michael Cole interviews Kurt Angle backstage. Kurt earned a match at Backlash against whichever version of the WWF Title he wants, but he's more concerned with why a former Olympic gold medalist hasn't been drafted yet. Flair's 6th pick: Chris Benoit Coach interviews Christian backstage. Christian throws a tantrum because he hasn't been drafted yet. McMahon's 6th pick: Kurt Angle. Angle celebrates backstage. Segment 6 McMahon's 7th pick: Booker T 15-minute time limit: Al Snow vs. Test Test doesn't even get on track, as Snow quickly connects with two Snow Plows and pins Test in 1:21. DUD Flair's 7th pick: Tajiri. JR notes that each federation has its own lighter weight title now. Segment 7 Flair's 8th pick: Mick Foley. McMahon does his overacted neck gulp as Flair says, "Every promotion needs a guy who can not only wrestle, but can also be a leader and make decisions." 15-minute time limit: Funaki (w/TAKA Michinoku) vs. Crash Holly Short match that Crash dominates until he's tripped by TAKA. Funaki gets the pin at 1:27 with a fisherman buster. * McMahon's 8th pick: Kane Scotty 2 Hotty comes to the ring to be interviewed by JR. Scotty tries to explain that his argument with Albert was simply a misunderstanding, but he's interrupted by TAKA's voiceover telling him that they lost the tag title match because they weren't EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL enough. Scotty immediately challenges Funaki to match right there, which is answered with an "Indeed". Funaki (w/TAKA Michinoku) vs. Scotty 2 Hotty Funaki dominates the match and turns to bow to TAKA. However, Funaki turns around and walks into a powerslam by Scotty for the pin at 1:29. *1/2 Scotty immediately leaves the ring before Kaientai can regroup. McMahon's 9th pick: Test Segment 8 Flair makes picks 9 and 10 at the same time: The Dudley Boyz. Michael Cole interviews Hulk Hogan backstage. Hogan finds it "convenient" that the entire nWo all got picked by Mr. McMahon, shortly before he got picked himself. Hogan says he's going to make an example out of X-Pac tonight. McMahon makes picks 10 and 11: The Hardy Boyz Segment 9 Flair's 11th pick: William Regal 15-minute time limit: The APA vs. The Dudley Boyz JR notes that we know the Dudleyz will be on SmackDown after next week, but the APA still has yet to be drafted. The APA proves their case that they need to be drafted by wasting no time, as Bradshaw pins D-Von with a Clothesline from Hell at 2:37. 1/4* Flair's 12th pick: Lance Storm Segment 10 McMahon's 12th and 13th picks: The APA Coach is backstage with Kurt Angle. He's happy to be in Mr. McMahon's Raw, and at Mr. McMahon's request, he will face Chris Jericho for the WWF Title at Backlash. Flair's 13th pick: The Big Show Backstage, the nWo is in a strategy meeting. X-Pac says he needs to do things on his own. Flair's 14th pick: The Hurricane Hogan is WALKING (tm CRZ). Segment 11 McMahon's 14th pick: Diamond Dallas Page Main Event with a 60 minute time limit: X-Pac (Light Heavyweight Champion) vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan X-Pac does indeed come out on his own. JR reminds us that Hogan faces Scott Hall at Backlash. X-Pac dominates, with Hogan actually selling X-Pac's martial arts kicks. It doesn't last though, as X-Pac climbs to the top rope and goes for an axhandle, but Hogan catches him with the Big Boot coming down, then the Big Leg Drop for the pin at 4:03. DUD Hogan celebrates, but X-Pac attacks from behind. Hogan comes back, but Kevin Nash and The Rock are out. Hogan holds his own until Scott Hall runs in from behind with a chair and takes Hogan out. Hall hits the Razor's Edge on the chair, and there's a four-on-one beatdown until security runs out. Backstage: McMahon's 15th pick: Women's Champion Jazz.
