The Big Valbowski vs. Lance Storm

Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer

Tajiri & Funaki vs. Billy Kidman & Hurricane

Test vs. Spike Dudley

Of course...Test has to ruin a card better than WrestleMania...but still...

Test doesn't ruin it, it just means I don't have to watch the ME at 2:20a.m. on Sat. :)

Not on Jakked/Metal they aren't

Hell...Saturn vs. Jobbers always goes 5 minutes.

Jakked/Metal has had some moments. Like when Saturn stiffed the jobber. I think he did it again to the RollerJam guy too.

Maybe Tommy has healed up enough to keep up with Raven.  After all, he hasn't had much in ring action, so he should be SOMEWHAT healed.  He will always have some injuries, but hey, Foley got over them so so could Dreamer.

2 solid workers (Venis vs. Storm)

a rematch of the best ECW feud ever (Raven vs. Dreamer)

a tag team cruiser match (Tajiri & Funaki vs. Kidman & Hurricane)

I am so watching this show.

The return of Raven and Kidman would have been enough...but this card is outstanding...for Jakked/Metal.

Raven vs. Dreamer in the WWF... who'da thunk it?  That's one I'm definitely catching this week.  But seriously, sometimes Jakked is the best show the WWF puts on during some weeks, since all the matches are guaranteed to go at least 4-5 minutes.

Raven and Dreamer would have been a GREAT feud for the WWF..... in 1997. IF Vince would have had the foresight to hire these guys and get behind the feud then the WWF may have inched closer to the WCW sooner than it did. Now in the year 2002, the feud is 6 years dead in the water and I think we would all be disappointed in the results. Like so many great things of the past, they need to stay in the past.

Unlike the NWO and Hogan...this one is on Jakked/Metal.

There is a world of difference.

Granted, the line-up looks alot stronger than RAW did tonight. I loved the Raven-Dreamer feud, don't get me wrong, but it seems so wrong watching it on Jakked. That slot could have easily been given to that pitiful Trish-Ivory match.

Tommy actually seemed fairly energized and looked good in the few WWF matches I saw him in, he actually had a really nice little technical match with Tajiri on Jakked once, where they did a lot of matwork and busted out some really weird holds.  Hey, the same kind of style-adjustment helped salvage the careers of people from Austin to Mutoh, it just might work here too.

But Raven has been mostly worthless for the past three years or so, just sloppy and unmotivated.  Plus it seems like he only uses the same 3 moves over & over (drop toe hold, clothesline, Evenflow).  Even his mic work has been mediocre, which is sad considering what a genius he used to be in that aspect.  I dunno, some ECW vets get to the big time and flourish (Cactus, RVD, Dudleyz) and some can't handle the transition (Stevie, Douglas, Sandman, Mikey, Public Enemy).

tommy has been really good in the matches i've seen him in. and raven too. remember the match raven had against rhyno? that was a fucking terrific match. and besides in today's wwf the actual matches don't mean shit it's the mic skills and raven has that in spades.

And the Russian Leg Sweep into the barricade.

Venis fought Storm on Metal last week too.  That whole kissing segment he does took up about 4 minutes of match alone.  The match was very short and ended with a strange Boston Crab rollover pin.  It was nothing great.

I just read on the Torch that the Dreamer-Raven match was very disappointing. Maybe because it was on Jakked.

I know I am pumped about this Jakked/Metal.  Sheesh.  It has some of my personal favourites like Hurricane, Kidman, Tajiri, Raven, & Funaki on it.

I like Metal matches because they seem to go on a lot longer than most midcard matches would go on Raw and Smackdown.  I just hope Tajiri/Funaki vs. Kidman/Hurricane will at least be as entertaining as Tajiri/Funaki vs. Dudley Boys was.  Ah well, at least two of them will actually WIN a match now.  That makes me very pleased.

I can't wait for Metal now.  Seeing Tommy Dreamer taking on Raven will have me marking out, even though it really doesn't mean fuck all anymore. Wow, marking out on Metal.  Never thought would ever happen.

Yeah Raven Dreamer in the ring while the commentators talk about how HHH beat Steph and how Vince is going to make Rock's life a living hell. I'll be watching with the sound down.

True. Seemingly everytime I've watched Jakked within the past few weeks every match had banter about Steph/HHH or the nWo. The announcers job is to call the damn match, and they don't even do that right. Pisses me off when the announcers can't even feign interest in the current proceedings, and drift away from Vince and Steph's "masterpiece" storylines for 5 minutes.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to Jakked, even if I do watch it every week already. If Dreamer/Raven is disappointing, at least it'll be a slight reminder of when wrestling was at it's peak. That, and another one of my favorites return, in Kidman. And hopefully they'll give Venis/Storm more time this week.

I am not sure I would even want those guys to call the match.  I remember one time they were paying attention to the action in the ring when Funaki hit Bubba Ray below the belt, it led to a bizzarre discussion between Kevin Kelly and Coach about what Bubba Ray looks like nude sunbathing.  I did not need that mental image while trying to eat.

I'm really glad Kidman is finally back. Now hopefully Hurricane will be allowed to go back to being Sugar Shane, and we have ourselves a great new tag team.

I don't get Jakked, Metal, or Smackdown where I live. I get Excess, Raw & Heat.

Shane Helms won't be pushed as a serious character because of the braces.

Why in the fuck did Funaki do that?!  Man ... I thought I loved the guy, but stories like this are startin' to make me rethink that.
