Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted March 26, 2002 If you’re reading this, I’m going to make the wild assumption that you’re a wrestling fan. You most likely watch, read, talk and write about wrestling so why not take the next step and join a fantasy-wrestling league? Maybe you have and were disappointed by the experience or the fed you were a part of folded after a few months like most do. Well if you’re interested in fantasy wrestling, then look no further the Smarks Wrestling Federation (formerly the IGNWF) a wrestling e-fed that has been going strong now for 18 months! In the SWF you are given full control of your own character. Not only are you able to create the many facets of a completely original character, but you come up your own storylines with fellow SWF wrestlers and most importantly, write your own matches. Success is based on your commitment to the fed and your skill as a writer. Make no mistake, the competition is high and you won’t win the world title within a week of joining, but you will meet some interesting people, make some friends and most likely have buckets of fun. Joining is simple. Just visit the SWF boards, which are found under the “Smarks Hosted Forums” heading on the Smarksboards. Find and read one of the several “SJL Joining Thread” posts and follow what they have to say. Before joining the SWF you will have to spend a few months honing you skills in the Smarks Junior League, a farm league similar the WWF’s Ohio Valley Wrestling. It has it’s own set of belts and shows and is the first step towards making it to the top of the mountain in the SWF! The SWF is always looking for new members, so if you like wrestling and can write, by all means sign up and get ready to have a good time!

Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Take it from me, ELM (that didn't rhyme as well as I'd hoped). The SWF has been a great experience for me. After being in it for over a year now, it's hard to imagine life without it. This federation is fun, easy to get into, and consists of a great group of guys (and gals) that have kept it going for so long. Join now! And say hi to Crusen when you get there. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Gotta echo El Luchadore's sentiments there. It's a blast getting to create a product that's 10 times more creative than any of the junk the WWF's been spoon-feeding us for the past year. Join join! Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 26, 2002 If you do feed a dog to a snake, can you use Lucy please? Why does everyone here hate Lucy so much? Is it because everyone here sucks? You most likely watch, read, talk and write about wrestling so why not take the next step and join a fantasy-wrestling league? My wrestling fantasy is hitting my Hydro Powerslam on Lita for the three-count and the European Championship. Make no mistake ... I shot a police officer yesterday thinking he was a mailman, so it's a little late for me. ... the competition is high and you won’t win the world title within a week of joining, but you will meet some interesting people, make some friends and most likely have buckets of fun. My charge is a strong, tough fellow by the name of Big Michael. I'll only sign his release papers if he gets some "big" money, some "big" world title shots within a week and some shirts marketed with his many "big" catchphrases plastered all over 'em. I think ... that we have a deal.
Guest Grand Slam Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Afternoon all! I just wanted to throw in my two cents worth. The SWF is a great place to be. I have been an active participant for almost a year and a half and in that time I have seen guys go from curtain jerking in the JL to the SWF World Champion. It does take a lot of hard work, but it is worth it. When you win a title in this fed, it really means something. It is a real accomplishment and something to be proud of. Come and give it a shot, see what we are all about and what we have to offer. You'll be suprised at the control you have over your character and your career. And that, my friends, is a d**n promise! - "Grand Slam" Mark Stevens
Guest Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Sure, I'll fox with the SWF. I've been wanting to E-fed again for a while. I was with the GWF, a really nice one until it folded, and I was the North American and Internet Champions when it went under. Just as long as the competition isn't too fierce and the place isn't overrun by morbid, depressing gimmicks. That happened with the GWF. I mean, come on! SATAN as a character? Not only that, but SATAN'S DAUGHTER(who is Japanese)? How about the Shapeshifter I had to beat for the #1 contendership for the NA/Internet unified title... Hit me up on AOL Instant Messneger, screen name is the same as my name on here. I'm very interested in joining.
Guest Shawn Report post Posted March 27, 2002 The SWF is really a great place to be and is the best e-fed I've ever taken part in. On my 4th match, I won the JL's TV title and a few matches later, I'm squaring off for the European title (the next title up from the TV) tomorrow! I'm really just a new guy with less than ten matches under my belt in the SJL but I'm already having some great success and I know I have bigger and better things ahead in the future. One of the best things about this e-fed is that you have control of your character. So far, I’ve been in control of my storylines for the most part. It’s as easy as saying, ‘Hey, lets go feud’ and then working together on a bigger line that you both like. Guest Smeghead Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Well, I guess I should throw in my two cents...except I don't have two cents on me. Oh well. You'll have to settle for pocket lint. Anyway, I should say something about the SWF, since I've been here longer than all but a handful of guys on the roster. I joined about a month after the creation of the SWF (then IGNWF), and I've been having a blast ever since. I've always liked the fact that I have complete control over the success of my character (although there were a few times when a simulator probably would've been better for my win/loss record ). Doing well in this e-fed takes a lot of hard work, but trust me, it's worth it. I've been around for a long time, and I'm not sick of it yet. So it must be good. By the way, I've talked to a few people in the past who said they wanted to join the fed, but didn't like the idea of having to start in the Junior League. If you're one of those people, I urge you to join anyway. Being in the JL isn't as bad as it sounds. I started out in the JL. Hell, we all did. And I had just as much fun there as I did in the WF. If you're new to this whole e-fed thing and need some time to hone your skills, the JL is the best place to do it. Like Mark Stevens said, people have gone from JL curtain jerkers to WF World Champions. And if you already have the skills, then don't worry. Creative Control will notice your talent, and you'll be bumped up very quickly. I hope this information has been helpful. And if anyone ever has any questions, just come to the boards and ask away, or ask in this thread.

Guest Grand Slam Report post Posted March 28, 2002 I'd join...but the links to submit on the SWF message board don't seem to work...not for me anyway. Well, to get started you don't need to be able to post, just get the right people to PM from the post and send them a PM with your info. I'm sure there is a way to make sure you are able to post on the boards. BTW, Welcome to the Fed guys. Feel free to PM me for whatever reason. I'm not in charge of anything, but I have been here quite a while and can help out guys just getting started.

Guest Insanityman Report post Posted March 29, 2002 Time to throw in my two cents worth, the SWF is truly fun... no a gun isn't held to my head. Guest Report post Posted March 29, 2002 It does take a lot of hard work, but it is worth it. When you win a title in this fed, it really means something. It is a real accomplishment and something to be proud of. - "Grand Slam" Mark Stevens I used to get into e-feds when I was younger, and they can be fun to a point... But, I've unfortunately had to deal with people who thought winning in an e-fed "meant something". I see e-feds mean quite a bit to you, so I will quietly back away. Thank you. Guest Grand Slam Report post Posted March 29, 2002 Its just me again. Sorry if I scared you away with my "it really means something" thing. All I was trying to say is that, unlike some other feds I have looked at, your success in matches and angles is totally dependant on you writing the matches. Most places, you write some RPs and if the booker likes you, he puts you in a title match where either he or a simulator decide who becomes the champion. Here, you write the matches and promo (like RPing) to set up the storylines and angles. Keep the booker informed and he will place you in matches against the right people. It is your writing and commitment that give you title shots, and when you win, it is on the merit of something you did, not how much the guy running the fed likes you. I urge you to give it a shot if you are interested. Read a couple of our shows and see what you think. This Sunday is the Battleground II Pay-Per-View and I promise you there will be some great angles and matches there. The worst thing that happens is that you try it out and don't like it. No hard feelings. On the other hand, you could meet some really cool people who share a common interest and have a great time. Visit the SWF Boards!! - "Grand Slam" Mark Stevens
Guest Report post Posted March 29, 2002 If you're a really good writer and you like wrestling then the SWF is the place for you. If you're bad writer you should join anyway! I used to be a really crapy writer, but I've gotten a lot better since I joined the SJL, and I see it. Even if you never win it still fun to be a part of the SWF! I know, I'm a part of the SJL! JOIN US NOW!! P.S. to Jim Hellwig: The SWF E-Fed means alot to him cause he has been a part of the SWF for a very long time, and he is one of the head directors of the SWF, he does really take part in it. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted March 30, 2002 I think what Grand Slam was after was this: A lot of people who post on this board are either washed-up, potential or current English majors or other people who like to write. You write your match, and your opponent writes his... and the marker picks the better match of the two. And damn when it doesn't feel good to be told that you wrote the better match, especially when your opponent is also a good writer. Of course, I do *really* like to write, so my opinion's a little biased.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted April 1, 2002 What the other guys above said is true. Damn true. Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from such movies as "The Lonely Dropkicker" and "A Luchador's Story"... Ah, just messin with ya. The name's Ash Ketchum, the only (and original) Pokemon-themed gimmick wrestler in ALL of e-wrestling!!! And lemme tell you, brotha, you don't gotta say your prayers, take your vitamins, and train hard every day just to get into the SJL. But lemme tell you something. I've been in the IGNML and IGNJL/SJL for over a year now, and it's been awesome. As long as you have the determination, the time, and the skills to use a keyboard (which you all ofviously do ), then you can make it in the SJL. Take it from me: I started out opening showsin the SJL in June (after the IGNML and IGNJL, as they were then called, merged) and in two weeks, I was at the top of the card. Now, I can't say the same for each and every one of you out there, but if you try... you can do it. Plus, it's a boatload and a half of fun. Well, that's all for now. Check y'all on the flipside, dudes!!! ~Ash Ketchum, SJL Wrestler and A Real Nice Guy, Too! ~
Guest Perfect_Bo Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Good afternoon guys... Well, it's my turn to say something good about the SWF... I've been in this fed for over a year and a half... Even though I'm not an active wrestler, I can tell you this is a whole lot of fun... You meet interesting people and assholes.. I've been JL world champion and WF tag team champion, Hardcore Gamers champion, and NY champion... I was the second person to become a double champion.. This is the problem that I had with this fed... If you have a busy life, dont join... That was going on with me, I loved it, but I am a busy person.. Daughter, school, and work... This is something that I love and you will too... Join... It's fun.. B "Still love this fed" O
