So I was at the local bar/pool hall and they had Kid Rock's rap cd in the jukebox and someone played a song from it. I dunno, if it was just that, that was the one decent song, but I couldn't complain, the stuff was actually decent. Does anyone here own any of his rap cds or know song titles that I could download?

I like Kid Rock as a rapper, and dislike him otherwise. My favorite song of his is the obscene "Yo-Da-Lin in the Valley." Go ahead and give it a download.

edit: by the way, if you're familiar with ICP, Yo Da Lin in the Valley was sampled on their first album, on the song Kid Rock did with them, "Is That You?"

I don't like him as a Rapper at all...

I am big fan of his Hank Williams Rock Star/Country singer" role and which he do that instead of corny rap...

Ever listen to Hank Williams III? I didn't even know there was a Hank Williams III until recently, but he's pretty good. I bring it up cause he's kinda like Kid Rock is now, but more punk, and better.

Kid Rock knows he's party music, and so he puts out party music (including the vintage ballad that needs to be on each party rock album). I have nothing but respect for the guy who admits he wanted to be a musician because, not only does he love music, he wants pussy and money.

Yodallin In The Valley is classic. I remember the first time I was eating out an ex-girlfriend of mine, my foot accidentally hit the play button on my cd player and of course this song came on. Hilarity ensued. (Or else I turned off the stereo and went back to work)

A lot of his rap stuff is out of print, download E.M.S.P. (Original), Killin' Brain Cells, My Name is Rock, U Don't Know Me, and some other stuff from his mid 90's albums.

I remember listening to that CD when I was 13 or so, hearing that song, and thinking that Kid Rock was black until he gained mainstream popularity in 1999. He didn't sound so white in his rapping days and him refering to himself as a "nigga" really didn't help me any in knowing the reality of the matter.

1) I do not really care for Kid Rock's "rap", but I fucking LOVE his alt-country sound, I couldn't get enough of it.

2) Hank Williams III is the MAN, I've been a fan of his for years now. Not to mention that when he wants, he can sound just like his grandad and looks almost exactly like him. It's almost scary to see him dress as Sr. and sing his songs.
