Guest Retro Rob Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 I just dl'ed the AniMatrix and the video will not play. Recently I had this issue and WMP said I should get the Indeo Codec, so I did, yet now this file will still not work. WMP tried to get the codec, but it came up with an error. It didn't say which codec I needed, so I was hoping one of you could help me out.
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 I had the same problem. When I upgraded to the newest version though I don't have that problem anymore. Just a thought if you don't have the newest version. Other than that I'm not really sure how to help with that.
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 I'm working with 8.0 right now. Did a newer version come out?
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 Look in Internet Explorer's restricted zone (Tools>Internet Options>for codec.microsoft.com, activex.microsoft.com, and *.microsoft.com. If they exist there, remove them. Then WMP should be able to update without problem.
Guest Retro Rob Posted May 31, 2003 Report Posted May 31, 2003 Just got Version 9 and the files still do not work...
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted May 31, 2003 Report Posted May 31, 2003 (edited) Install the Kazaa Lite codec pack. http://doa2.host.sk/codecpack.htm Or Nimo Codec Pack: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html These packs contain lots of different files for playing a variety of audio and video files. Guest Retro Rob Posted June 1, 2003 Report Posted June 1, 2003 The Kazza Lite one did it. Thanks a lot.
