Guest tombstone Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I was willing to give the draft time. I believed that SURELY you cant mess up two BIG ANGLES in a row. You try my faith VKM, you really do. This is gonna bomb. Badly. I can see the ratings for RAW plummeting to levels unheard of since Shawn & Bret were champions and Smackdown staying pretty much where it is. I can see the plug being pulled by at least Summerslam (Vince / Flair ladder match, Linda comes out, bails the Ladder and sends Shane up to grab the 'Undisputed Contract of Ownership' Vince & Flair are off TV FOREVER (shame about Flair, casualty of necessity) and Shane appoints DDP or Stevie Richards as Commissioner). What'd'y'all think?
Guest JAMES900 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 They'll keep this up for ages I mean the roaster is too big. Besides it gives raw the chance to create new stars, which is what the wwf hasn't had the chance to do in quiet sometime.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 This IS to be expected considering Vince likes to bury things and people that he didn't create (or ones that grow out of his control). The only good thing coming out of this is that Tom Zenk will have enough ammunition to make it onto all the radio shows AGAIN and keep me in stitched. Guest starvenger Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Nice to see that you're optimists. Maybe you should at least wait until after Smackdown before declaring the WWF(e) dead and buried.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Don't forget that there will likely be trades between Flair and Vince.

Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted March 26, 2002 This is so hiliarious, and yet so predictable at the same time. I said weeks ago that this would happen and no one would believe me. Everyone was so caught up in their little fairy tale world of "Ric Flair with all the wrestlers, Vince with all the big lugs" that they never looked at what was realistic. It seems to me that the rosters got split basically how the smarks wanted them in the first place: Smackdown features the more athletic guys, while RAW has the bigger ones. Yet somehow, because Flair is on RAW and Vince is on Smackdown, this is a "big disaster" now.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 For Gods Sake give it time. As people are saying trades will occurr. The problem with my eyes about Raw is that Main Eventers are extreamly thin. NWO - Heels Undertaker - Heel and I suppose Kane - Face. RVD has got unlimited potential as has Booker but they aren't viewed as main eventers by Vince, not yet anyway. Turn Booker Face? Give him a big push. Put Austin On Raw that may help.

Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Don't forget HHH. Vince will likely 'make it up' to Taker by giving him the WWF Title shot at Backlash, thus meaning HHH will be spending most of his time on RAW. At least for awhile.
Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Actually, you should give this time. I think you have to look at it this way. Remember in 1996 and 1997 the wwf had unknowns like Rocky Maivia, Triple H, Steve Austin, Mankind and wcw had the big names and "better" wrestlers like Chris Benoit, Hulk Hogan, Savage, Jericho etc. The wwf used their "weaker crop" and became very big. Vince could be doing this formula.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Well there is a problem with the "Vince could be trying to make new stars out of what seems like nothing" theory. That problem is that currently Raw has a bunch of guys that aren't considered good but also don't have the potential to grow that much. So unless Raw picks up a good amount of free agents and bring in young guys and/or guys that have never been used that much on tv they don't really have any Rock HHH Austin Foley type guys that they can build from nothing into something good. Guest Brian Report post Posted March 27, 2002 At some point, they'll see errors and make trades, which was the whole point of not doing the too quickly. People are going to be intrigued for a while but they'll change the format. You can't actually expect them to keep the Dudleys apart and Rock/Hogan and the NWO seperate for that long. And you can't expect Flair to want the NWO; they're still poison and the point of him picking the NWO and Undertaker was to spite Vince and each of them. I see an automatic trade, and because Angle made the mistake, he and Benoit are probably the first to go.
Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 27, 2002 Okay, IF those Smackdown spoilers are true it means the rosters are set as it currently is advertised. All I have to say is WHAT is the wwf thinking for SmackDown. All the top belts are on the RAW roster. This MAKES no sense to me. What would Rock and company be fighting for if Triple H is floating? What about guys wanting the I-C title and whatnot? Unless RAW doesn't get Triple H in the meantime. I don't think Triple H should be on both shows every week. He should be on one show for some time and then float to the next or we will get mostly Triple H on smackdown I think. I don't know we'll see next week.
