The New York Daily News, in their May 29th (Thursday) edition of their newspaper, printed an article called "Dumb & Dumbest," talking about two 15-year old kids who were in a classroom (that was supposed to be locked up) fooling around with a chair. The chair fell out of the window of the classroom and landed on 29-year old Rosaura Beristani, a seven-month pregnant woman. She was seriously injured. A short excerpt from the article:

 

Police sources said the two students told detectives they were reenacting body slams and smackdowns they had learned watching pro wrestling on TV when the chair went out the window.

"One kid was holding the chair and was going to hit the other kid with it, horsing around, playing wrestlers, when it went flying out the window," said one police official. "They both appear to be good kids who did something stupid."

Ain't it great when the media, etc comment on stuff they know nothing about: 'reenacting smackdowns' and my personal favourite 'Atomic Knee Drops', classic.

I think that the title "They're Dumber and DUmbest" and "2 HS Students toss chair out of window, clobber pregnant woman" hardly vouches for a classy publication. And I don't think I've ever seen a newspaper article by 3 authors. Odd. Oh and the sub heading "Identified Flying Objects" just screams hack job. I mean have a bit of class please.
