Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted May 29, 2003 I bought the DVD of Stephen King's IT, from my understanding of the film, the only times "IT" is really visible is to those who beleive in it. How is Pennywise able to kill that guard in the mental hospital when he has no basis for being able to see him? Also a technical quesiton but on my DVD when I played the cast and crew commentaries, in certain scenes the audio would fade in and out, not just the movie but on the commentary too? To use a blasphemous analogy, IT is God and Pennywise is Jesus. I really only understand that cause I read the book, the whole concept is a little weird. I'm not particularly a fan of SK or pop horror in general, but IT is actually one of my all time favorite books. Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted May 30, 2003 When I was watching the movie with the commentary with the cast and director, they were even saying how it didn't seem logical that Pennywise would kill that guard. The "true" form of IT in the film was more or less due to the limitations of the technology for that time period and the budget for the film. I never read the book IT, but as a film I'd rank it as one of the most scary films I'd ever seen, and according to the director that seems to be a common sentiment as people say that Pennywise has made them uncomfortable with Clowns for the rest of their lives. What's weird is that one scene I found to be scary in a psychological sense was when Pennywise was disguised as Bev and started kissing Ben, then IT takes the shape of Pennywise and screams "KISS ME FAT BOY" and when that scene played the whole cast laughed their asses off Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
