LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted June 1, 2003 Report Posted June 1, 2003 I know Hulk has only been out a few days, but I was wondering if anyone has played it yet. I've been thinking about getting it, I've been on this kick of buying new games. I rarely had time to play and now I have a ton, so I've picked up about 7 in the past week and a half maybe and I was thinking of getting Hulk while all these deals are on (several stores offer a free gift card with purchase of the game). Has anyone played it yet, what are your impressions?
Guest Lil Naitch Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I played for a few minutes up at my local Gamestop. Wasn't impressed. Hit bad guys with guns. Woo-hoo.
Guest SP-1 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Played it for a few minutes at EB. Meh. It's amusing at first to be a huge green monster-man bashing normal humans left and right and throwing them around and such and so forth. But then I got bored and walked away.
Guest wwF1587 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 if you like mindless punching and destroying enemies the the HULK is for you... its not bad... just boring after a while...give it a good rent first like i have
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted June 2, 2003 Author Report Posted June 2, 2003 I ended up picking it up while all these posts were being made... I haven't opened it yet, still thinking it through. We'll see. Sometimes I just have fun with those games, I got a while to figure it out.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I bought it, though I'm a known Hulk mark. The game is really cool, and it plays similar to the Spider Man game from last year. Also, you aren't always playing as The Hulk. There are certain levels where you have to be Banner in order to get past security, use a computer, etc. Should you wind up turning into The Hulk on some of these missions, it counts as a failure. So there is some good depth to the game as you get into it.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I know it wouldn't sell at all... but shouldn't the point of a Hulk game to be playing only as Banner and trying to keep the Hulk supressed? In fact...if you do lose your cool and become the Hulk it should set you back and make the game harder...like the cops will be after you too...or the Hulk's rampage destroys your route to the finish...and you need to find an alternate harder path.
