Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 30, 2002 You know, it never is a bad idea to, like, um, how should I say this...ELEVATE SOMEBODY NEW TO THE MAIN EVENT! Why is it so horrible that Edge is feuding with Angle? A certified main event heel versus a solid mid-card face? Since when is it bad to actually put one wrestler over another? Angle had to be put over other wrestlers to get to where he is today, why is it so bad that now other wrestlers have to be put over Angle? I fail to see how Angle should be cutting his wrists over this booking. As for the surgery idea, right now Vince needs all of his guns firing. He can't afford to have any of his main event stars (which includes Angle) be out for a significant amount of time. Once the split settles down a little, then Angle can have his surgery. Until then, Angle needs to be on tv to draw viewers. I feel that Anglesault has a certain idea of what Angle should be doing, and when nothing less than perfection falls into Angle's lap, Anglesault becomes upset. I don't see Austin or HHH or Rocky going from one midcarder to another. Ans why is it so horrible that is Edge? Edge is stale as all hell, and this will become one of Edge's Cookie cutter boring ass Spear-a-palozza feuds. Maybe the Angle/Edge feud will actually be fresh? Instead of burying it before it even starts to live, maybe we could actually sit back and see what develops? Regal Test Christian Lance Storm Nothing much happened, but GOOD LORD were there a lot of spears. And you never answered my other question. Angle got a cheap win (despite making Kane tap in an awesome match 3 months ago) and Kane jobbed thus making him look even weaker than usual. I was really hoping for Kurt to beat Kane cleanly at Wrestlemania as a way of elevating him up another level. His feud with Edge will be worse because the company will try to protect both men. There's no way Edge is gonna beat Angle who is way more popular with the fans. The company is REALLY high on Edge so there's no way Angle is gonna beat a face like that cleanly. The matches will be great, but the feud seems pretty meaningless for both men.Sigh, I miss the old days when feuds were based on one wrestler disliking another or going after the elusive belt. It seems feuds today are just ppv filler and are based more around run-ins and dippy catch phrases. Oh well, it's not like wrestling a world class athlete like Edge is the worst thing for Angle.
