From what I remember, Wolverine is Canadian. As a child he was kicked out of his Native American tribe and raised by wolverines in the wilderness or some shit like that up in Canada.

You're wrong. From the official Marvel biography for the character: "James Howlett, the mutant now known as Wolverine, was born into privilege in Alberta, Canada, during the late 19th century, the second son of John and Elizabeth Howlett."
