Who do you think...

eh, i doubt it was trying to be objective, thats regardless though, as the tax cuts are frowned upon by many people, not just dems. the aspect, i believe, they think is evil is that bit about impoverished children not recieving tax credits or whatever.

Or when it accuses Bush of planting evidence in Iraq. Whoo @ Fair, credible reporting instead of sensationalism   ...

Edit: Christ, this site is just some Bush hate site. They find evil in the fucking Bush CARRIER LANDING? Tyler, these guys are pretty much socialist assclowns who have nothing better to do than listen to their RATM albums and bitch about Bush being in office after they didn't vote in 2000 because "They system is corrupt anyways" or some such bullshit. I would recommend sticking to something slightly less obviously biased and not using the "Blackheart grading system".

Bottomline, the guy has done a pretty shitty job as president, but patriotism from the war will carry him into the white house for another term.

And that, sadly, is the way it is.

the site basically overanalyzes everything bush does, and i think everyone that follows politics would realize that. however, it's not like you can sit here and say that every note there is incorrect, because it isn't.

as for the planting thing, perhaps not, but...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/2960022.stm

and other similar reports. also, it's wonderful that absolutely no one read or had any comment about the previous articles i posted :P

I'm PRAYING the Dems follow the advice of some on the boards and pick a REALLY liberal candidate.

That's something we agree on, Mike. Although I would want him/her to win.

Did you click on that link?

The real question is: If the guy who posted the link doesn't even really buy into the site, why should YOU?

And Tyler: I'm not a subscriber to over half those papers, so it won't let me look up back issues. C'est la vie. And why shouldn't Bush have believed the intelligence given to him? Seriously, people fault him for claiming all the shit about the WMDs (And the search isn't over. Remember, Iraq IS the size of CALIFORNIA. Plus the possibility of them burying the stuff somewhere, considering they had a lot of time with countries like France trying to delay every resolution that could have done somethign against Iraq in the UN...) when he was just going on. Do you honestly think he was just saying this without the military assuring him about their existance? You act like he just all of a sudden thought this up on a whim, but he obviously got credible info on this. You just don't claim something like this without any credible information on the subject.

First of all, this economy is alot worse off than alot of dot.com's crashing.

Second, like I said, your average voter simplifies things.  Bush president=economy shit, Clinton president=Economy great, Bush Sr. pres=Economy shit...but even with the Bush name being hand and hand with a shitty economy, he will still win.

And though he didn't have a overwhelming gay vote, it certainly doens't help when you say that a gay bashers comments is okay.  ESPECIALLY weeks after another party member was making racially insensitive comments and you came out against him(giving the impression that you don't really care about the gay community).

Bottomline, the guy has done a pretty shitty job as president, but patriotism from the war will carry him into the white house for another term.

Oh, the economy's problems are FAR greater than the dot-com collapse --- though that was a biggie.

There is that whole virtually non-existant oversight of corporate accounting that really flourished under a former President who shan't be named that didn't help a thing.

If Santorum's comments equate to "gay-bashing", then gays have no problem whatsoever in this country. There is a difference between gay-critical and gay-bashing. Just because a comment is opposed to homosexuality does not mean it's gay bashing.

Eminem = gay bashing.

Santorum = not.

Not that hard to follow, I don't think.

If you don't mind me askng, what has Bush done that was so bad? I mean, he only led us during our darkest hour.

-=Mike

You guys are still missing the point. If bush is responsible for our bad economy or not is not really important. It APPEARS that he is the cause of it to you average american who isn't deep into politics. A majority of voters are not DEEP into the political workings to understand what the real cause might have been.

Eminem: says he doesn't like gay people...

Santorum: Equates homosexual sex to incest and beastiality.

They look one in the same to me...sadly, eminem just says he doesn't like gay people(in a profane, combative way, true) but Santorum compares their sex lives to fucking a dog or your daughter...so who actually is doing more bashing here?

Damn, the partisan bickering is strong in this one.

I'm gonna say Bush will win, for numerous factors. People feel secure with him in charge of the national security issues, his approval ratings are consistently good, the Democratic field is weak, the Democratic platform has flaws in it, and the economy has, at the least, the possibility that it will turn around in the next couple years, which favors Bush. Plus he is an incumbent, which despite what happened to the elder Bush, does give him some advantage.

I'm not going to be a conservative schill and say that he's going to have an easy time winning, but ultimately I think the deck stacks in his favor. It could change, but I still think he's got the slight advantage here.

Did someone mention salon.com? Holy Jesus. Anyone ever read that site? It's maybe the most liberal piece of shit website I've seen in all of my perusing on the net.

Wow, Bush hasn't done too well. And he is going to be President again? That is awful.

Do you believe everything you read?

How good or bad a job President Bush has done depends entirely on whom you ask. The links you're referring to are from liberal sites who obviously won't have many kind words to say about Bush. It's akin to getting all your information about Ford from Chevrolet's website, then deciding that Ford doesn't make good cars.

Reminds me a joke I saw from BusinessWeek Monthly about Ford recalling all of Chevy's minivans and apologizing because they were so unsafe.

I seem to remember Eminem discussing various things he'd do to homosexuals and none of them were very nice --- but I guess somebody who sells millions of CD's to moronic teens is FAR less influential than a fairly anonymous member of Congress.

Hopefully you'd realize that a hard-left candidate would get thrashed.

Geez, McGovern couldn't win in '72 and the country was FAR more left back then.

I'm just wondering where these doubts were that Iraq HAD WMD were before the war.

Not a SOUL said that they had no weapons.

BOO! CHEAP RHETORICAL ATTACK! Not really substantial either, but that's for the TV folder to decide.

Other note: I honestly don't think Salon is as extreme as you do...but perhaps that's mostly because I stick to their arts & science reports, and don't really dabble in much of their political coverage. They have some wonderful writers, though.

At least he didn't point you towards Commondreams.org.

Have you even watched the show before? Buffy is one of the greatest shows on television, with great writing, great acting and great storytelling.

The irony here is that you are defending Bush, whose cumulative grade average was a 77. Yet you call me dumb? I don't want my President to have a C average in college. Especially when he went to Yale, where you should be smart to get in there in the first place. Oh wait, his Daddy got him in.

Okay, -=Mike.

Yes, you'd rather have a Rhodes Scholar who lies under oath to a federal grand jury.

and its not like the republicans went on a massive fishing expedition from the beginning of his presidency to entrap him and try to impeach him under constitutionally unsound grounds.

Constitutionally unsound? Please explain.

And please don't deny that Clinton committed perjury. He did, plain and simple.

Also, be careful with "entrapment". That's a very exclusive legal term. And it's not like Repubs forced him to get blown by some fatass and then lie under oath to a federal grand jury.
