Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Do the 1,000-ish polled for presidential approval ratings represent the whole of America, Darryl? Considering the big victory for the Republicans last November, I am inclined to say yes.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 I'd say that's more disapproval of the Democratic platform than approval of the job Republicans are doing.
Guest Cancer Marney Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Much the same thing, considering that the Democratic "platform" consists entirely of claims of dissatisfaction with the job Republicans are doing.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Not so much anymore, although that was the platform in 2002.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Much the same thing, considering that the Democratic "platform" consists entirely of claims of dissatisfaction with the job Republicans are doing. Thank You. Somebody agrees with me.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Sure, considering it doesn't seem you've researched much about it.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Hmm... research. Well, I could find you all kinds of quotes from Kerry, Daschle, and the like contradicting the current bs they're spewing right now. Then there are the websites. That's great for them to list all of their stances that are opposed to Repub stances. But they don't actually talk about their "platform". It's one of those actions/words things, so to speak. For instance, the typical Dem campaign involves locking up the poor vote, and those people don't have access to those websites. A large part of the Dem vote doesn't know the "platform". All they know is they've been made government dependent, and government dependent they'll be.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Practically none of the candidates even get air time, so it's not surprising that you don't hear much about any of their platforms. Trust me, some candidates have far more than the typical "anti-Repug" plan. Let's just hope the primary voters choose the right one (NOT LIEBERMAN)
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 (NOT LIEBERMAN) I agree. Anyone else will be absolutely obliterated.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 Sure they will. Keep those rose colored glasses on for just two more years now
